  • "Absolutely loved our stay at Riverside Cottage."

The cottage was just perfect and gave the four of us (two adults, two children) the most fantastic short break. It’s decorated beautifully so better than home from home. Kitchen is well equipped so we ate in each night. Nice to have a holiday rental with better than basic crockery etc - super big mugs for morning cuppa! Weather was mixed so happy it was warm and cosy and puzzles and DVDs kept us busy! The house is nice and spacious especially compared to St Ives cottages we’re used to so it was great to have plenty of room for four. Location was great, lovely path by the river Lynn leading straight from the front garden into town and to the sea. Parking was a big bonus and second car we easily managed to get a spot just up the road. Definitely booking to come again next year!

  • "We enjoyed our stay in 1 Riverside very much."

Any maintenance issues were attended to promptly. The bed was very comfortable. The lined curtains were excellent in the bedroom. We found the induction hob difficult to use and would have appreciated instruction leaflets for this and the oven. The television was far too complex for us and the owner exchanged it for a simpler version which suited our needs perfectly. We would love to stay in this cottage again but as we are now in our eighties we would need to have a walk-in shower, rather than a shower in the bath. A great holiday - many thanks.

  • "Lovely little cottage to stay in."

We love the river flowing outside and seagulls waking up early. Beautiful beach and lovely town. We enjoyed dinner at The Rockpoint Inn and a bakery breakfast order at The Town Mill. We love it here and it was also carnival week so very exciting. We'll be back.

  • "This property is over-priced and does not present particularly close to the photographs."

The mugs were all brown stained, lighting sockets and lighting in general appeared shoddy and only partly working. The lamp in the main bedroom does not work. All the windows frames are in poor condition with rusty fittings. It presents as a property given a cheap make-over twenty or more years ago spending the minimum.

We are sorry to hear that the property did not meet your expectations. The owner has visited the property, and also a member of our team. The photos and marketing are a fair representation of the property. The majority of guests who have stayed, have been happy with the property, and indicated that they plan to return. We hope you enjoyed your time in Lyme Regis. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

  • "A lovely little cottage."

We loved the walk into town and to Uplyme. The weather was kind. Really enjoyed our stay.

  • "The location of the property was excellent, only a very short walk into the centre of Lyme Regis."

We felt however compared to recent holiday cottages we have stayed in it was poorly presented, tired decor and a distinct lack of home comforts. We thought for the price we paid we would be getting something quite luxurious but this was not the case.

  • "We found this an ideal spot, having stayed next door a few years ago."

It’s a pleasant walk in to town and the seafront but away from the hustle and bustle. Turn the other way for lovely walks out in to the countryside.

  • "Great base on the coast."

Sunshine all week - how lucky, scorhcio! Jurassic jungle walk to Seaton has got to be done - really enjoyed that (and the bus back), good experience. Boylos is a good place for SUP lessons! Italia do very nice pizza.

  • "No oven gloves and no response to our query issues on arrival, still no response before we left after a week."

I'm sorry to hear that you had some small issues upon arrival to the property. My colleague did attempt to contact you to offer for our team to attend to rectify the issues. I hope you had an enjoyable stay despite these small issues. The Lyme Bay Team Property Owner

  • "Lovely warm, cosy, quirky cottage for tall people."

We enjoyed our stay and hope to come again. Easy access to walks up and down the River Lym. Mulled wine on sea front. Many excellent restaurants especially Lyme Bay Cafe and Harbour Inn. Lyme Bay Holidays were very attentive and responsive. All in all we had a great time. Thank you.

  • "The property had everything we needed."

The location was brilliant. A real bonus to have a parking space, we parked on the day of arrival and didn't move the car until the day we left. A great little place a explore and walk out from. The welcome pack was a nice touch, thank you.

  • "The cottage was in a quiet position with a pleasant walk into Lyme Regis and Uplyme."

We found the cottage chilly even with the heating on. The staircase was quite steep and we feel that a handrail from top to bottom handrail would be safer and a lick of paint. The TV sound wasn't great. The twin bedroom needs an adult wardrobe and drawers. The lighting above the kitchen table wasn't great. An oven glove would be useful. Saying all of that we enjoyed our stay.
