  • "Clean and cosy cottage."

It’s in a quiet position and 5 minutes from the centre.

  • "Lymbrook cottage is a pleasant property to stay in."

Parking is a problem in Lyme and it’s a shame a parking permit is not available (as in other cottages next door); local parking costs of £65 per week are typical). Unfortunately the bed was very firm and took a few nights of getting used to before being able to sleep reasonably ok. The kitchen whilst small was well equipped and practical. Nice garden to sit out in. Overall we enjoyed our stay in Lyme

  • "Great place to stay."

And once we got hold of Sykes the plumbing problem was fixed very quickly, by a very friendly knowledgeable plumber ( 2nd plumber) who came back after he completed his work to check it was ok. He also gave us a lot of local knowledge of great things to do whilst we were in Lyme.

Loved the property and would definitely stay again.

  • "I loved how cozy the cottage is, and I loved hearing the sound of the river (and the ducks!"

) whenever I opened the windows. The wood-burning fireplace was a major bonus.

  • "Cottage fine but the mattresses were very uncomfortable (obviously old and poor quality ) ."

Ruined the stay really as woke with back pain . Also pillows were old and flat . So sleep quality wasn’t the best . Otherwise cottage and garden very nice. Also didn’t realise the garden was shared which meant had to keep eye out on the gates as other residents didn’t have dogs and I was worried my little dog could get out .

  • "Fantastic cottage, very comfortable & clean."

The two bedrooms & the shower were excellent. The shared garden & easy access to good walks made it ideal as we have a Dog. Only a 10 minute walk to get to the shops on Broad st. The only complaint would be that the Fridge is missing it bottom compartment on the door, so you couldn’t place any milk or large bottles in upright. We have been coming to Lyme Regis on & off for the last 12 years & Overall one of the best places we have stay in.

  • "The cottage is in a great location, we actually stayed at number 1 last year."

Downstairs the lounge and kitchen are nice. The bathroom, the shower curtain needs replacing as does the mat that is covered in black mould, and the mould on the grout and silicon needs to be dealt with. Upstairs the carpet needs replacing and the whole property was very dirty when we arrived as per my email which I am waiting for a response on.

  • "Lovely cottage, as described, clean and cosy and brilliant location!"

The sound of the stream outside and the sunny patio made it extra special and the neighbours who owned the cottage to the right were super friendly and welcoming.

  • "Lovely location and cottage warm and accommodating."

We had a really lovely stay but unfortunately, the cleanliness of the cottage was not up to the standard that I would expect for the cost of the stay. Attention to detail required: Outer front doormat and outside front door area had not been swept and the mat was filthy. Freezer compartment dirty. Washing up bowl ancient and looked horrible. Clock on wall in kitchen not working. A smell like vinegar permeated the cottage for several days - unsure if this was the cleaning product used, but was not pleasant. The location was perfect but the lack of advice given from the agency regarding parking was very poor. It does make you aware that there is no parking on-site but if fails to tell you that when you arrive you go down a narrow lane which ends in a ford. Therefore, the only way out of the lane is to reverse. This should have been made clear as at the end of a 5 hour journey, this was very stressful. Also, the agency never mention the sidegate to the property as well as the main gate. The main gate sign only had 1 Lymbrook Cottage, not 1-4 which would have been helpful. A lovely stay but a little more thought about detail needed
