  • "We had a really lovely holiday at Tidewater."

The house itself was amazing. Beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need.We were 5 adults 5 children and 2 dogs. The little ones loved the playground equipment and the hot tub. We all enjoyed our stay very much. Shaldon itself was a perfect base and the people in the village were very friendly. We would love to stay in this perfect accommodation again.

  • "We had a delightful stay at Tidewater."

This lovely house is spacious, comfortable, clean and extremely well equipped. Our young grand children were particularly pleased with the outdoor play area and the books and games available indoors. It worked well for a three generation family and I'm sure it would be just as good for a group of friends. Great location and views, highly recommended.

We're so pleased you all had a lovely weekend and enjoyed the home and local area. It is a great place for multi-generational families to stay with the space and facilities we have. Thank you for being wonderful guests. Property Owner

  • "We have just finished a wonderful short break at Tidewater."

It was absolutely perfect for 4 families (8 adults and 5 young children) with beautiful, large rooms which provide enough space to spend lots of time together and have plenty of privacy when needed. The heart of the house is very much the kitchen / dining room which was absolutely perfect for socialising and exceptionally well arranged for cooking/preparing meals. The living room has an amazing view over the countryside and has the ideal sofa for sitting on and watching the world go by. The weather wasn’t right for opening the bi-fold doors but it would be easy to imagine how, in the summer, that would be an amazing feature to make the most of. The rain also limited use of the outdoor area/furniture but it is extremely well laid out and would be fantastic in better weather. There was no amount of rain which was going to stop the kids making the most of the immaculate play facilities though; they loved the trampoline, slide and swings in equal measure (puddle suits and wellies were required!). The bedrooms are all well presented and comfortable - the master is a particularly special highlight while the ‘kids bedroom’ with the bunkbeds is a really unique addition for this sort of property and enjoyed. The library of books in there is a lovely touch which was enjoyed. More practically, the instructions for everything from accessing the WiFi to sorting the recycling to how to operate the lights are all provided and clear to understand. Additionally, the hosts were available to answer any questions and checked in with a non-intrusive and reassuring frequency which was appreciated. It is worth noting that the house is at the top of a long and steep single tracked hill to get you out into the beautiful countryside - not challenging to those familiar with Devon country roads, but worth a Google Maps check for any city-dwellers only used to urban roads (as proved by the family members who had driven down from Birmingham and shared their surprise at the road!). This was a first rate property and set up for a holiday home away from home and cannot be highly recommended enough. The only question now is when we can get back for another visit…

Thank you for such detailed and wonderful feedback . It's great you had such a wonderful time and your feedback will help others envisage the house. We're so pleased you all had a lovely time and would love to welcome you back again. Property Owner

We are a family of 9 but it was very spacious and comfortable, and very well equipped. Our 3 granddaughters spent most of the time that we were at the house, playing in the garden on the play equipment. We had some great days out locally.

Beautiful garden, great views. Kitchen well equipped. Friendly neighbours. Everything you needed. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ It could have had a hot tub, we hired one, but people with children would appreciate it being inclusive. Our host went out of her way to accommodate us ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
