  • "Second stay here."

Nice bright accommodation, fantastic views through bi-fold doors. Two things. Firstly, I will never understand why, you have a four berth place, but only a small two slot toaster , also a microwave so small you cannot fit a plate in it. This is not just a criticism of this place, but a lot of two bedroom places. Petty I know, but needed! Could also do with more comfortable chairs in the lounge area. I also think basic cleaning could have been better, there were a few cobwebs about the place. Also had an issue with smelly drains in one of the bathrooms.

  • "We stayed here for our first family break with our baby."

We had a great time, the views are stunning and the property has been well designed to make the most of this. It was clean and well decorated throughout. The garden is a good size and well maintained, we didn’t make the most of this due to the weather, but the dog loved it and we felt it was secure enough for her. The local pub was a short walk across the fields and was friendly, but worth noting that it closes for a few hours in the late afternoon. We look forward to booking a return visit.

Thank you very much for your positive feedback - we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay in the Cosy Cow Shed and look forward to welcoming you back - hopefully with some better weather! Property Owner

  • "This was a really lovely cottage in a great location to explore this area."

Only a short drive to the beach and set in fab countryside. The refurbishment, bathrooms and beds/linen are to a very high standard. The only minor comment is the fencing is not secure at the bottom for smaller dogs and there are sheep in the adjoining fields so dog owners should take care. Also in the second bathroom at the time of our visit there was a bit of a drain smell which requires investigation. Despite those 2 minor items we had a wonderful stay and would recommend this cottage.

Thanks very much for your feedback and we are glad that you enjoyed your stay. We’ll definitely take a look at your suggestions which we really appreciate Property Owner

  • "The Cosy Cowshed is a high quality holiday home in a beautiful peaceful setting with far reaching views."

It's very well equipped with everything you need for self catering including tea coffee and sugar, with milk and a bottle of local wine in the fridge! Overall it's very clean and comfortable. Our dog enjoyed the large enclosed garden. The village shop and pub are very good, and only a short walk away. We really enjoyed our stay and have already booked to come back again. Unfortunately there were a few negatives. The entrance gate needs adjustment as it's not easy to open and close. We had to clean the patio furniture, then discovered the cushions in the storage box were stained and felt damp, so we didn't use them. We also didn't use the clothes rack in one of the bedrooms, as this had lots of cobwebs and spiders. On the carpet under the rack were several dead "insects" in cocoons of web. I'm sure this was just missed by the cleaner as the rest of the property was fine.

  • "Beautiful setting and lovely cottage."

Millie the housekeeper went above and beyond to get us in as early as possible. Lounge area could do with a bigger tele and bit more comfort in the furniture but the bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice. We personally found the location too remote down very narrow lanes which aren't made for the modern car. All in all, fab cottage wrong location for us.

  • "We had a problem with the lights in the bedroom."

Electrician came when we were not there and said lights were fine. He obviously switched them on once and they worked but they were not working when we came in. It was an intermittent fault which I text back to the manager but not mended before we left. We were told that they were a dimmer switch and I had not turned it up! I am not stupid I know what a dimmer switch is and I did not have a problem with the other switches. Quite a lot of cobwebs about, loads behind the head board of our bed, obviously not cleaned for a long time. Apart from this we enjoyed our stay, the cottage is decorated to a nice standard, everything you would want in the kitchen, beds extremely comfortable and beautiful views. Would I stay again or recommend, yes I would.

  • "Overall we enjoyed the holiday and the barn was in an idyllic spot and had everything we needed."

Unfortunately, the family that live/rent next door to the have young children that constantly shout, scream and fight which often spoilt the peaceful location. A couple of things I would mention that we thought needed attention 1, the drive needs to be tidied as a lot of tall stinging nettles and weeds 2, the hedge on the right hand side when you pull out into the road is overgrown and you have to pull out blind, which is quite dangerous and 3, the large tree in the garden could do with a trim as its very overgrown.

Plenty of daylight coming through the bi folds, and Velux windows. Had a couple of issues, but quickly rectified by the owner. Not certain if the garden is completely enclosed, I’m sure our little beagle could have got through the hedge and onto the road. Also, could have done with a bigger toaster and microwave, and some dishwasher tablets! Had good weather for March. This is a good property to stay in, could be a bit on the pricey side though, did enjoy our holiday, though.
