Burrow Farm Holiday Cottages

Crediton 9.3 miles. A group of three 200-year-old, stone-built conversions, two were previously barns and one a former stable, they are set on the owners' grounds near the brilliant town of Crediton in Devon. All three of the cottages come with cosy open plan living areas, well-appointed kitchens, WiFi and comfortable bedrooms ensuring that relaxing night's sleep. Burrow Farm offers a well-stocked fishing lake that you can enjoy if you wish. This group of Crediton cottages are set in the rural beauty and tranquillity of Ruby Country, making an ideal base to explore the area on foot along the many waymarked paths. The local Tarka Trail is perfect for cycling, and follows the river valley up to North Devon using old railway lines, passing through spectacular countryside. For a spot of retail therapy, Exeter is a half hour drive from this Crediton cottage, where there is a shopping centre, theatres, and plenty of outstanding architecture including the cathedral and quayside restored warehouses now offering bijou shops and cafes. A stay here will leave you feeling relaxed and in love with Devon.

A semi-detached converted stone barn, originally built more than 200 years ago and standing in a rural position on the owners' non-working farm near the tiny village of Zeal Monachorum, near Crediton in mid Devon.

This stunning cottage is presented to a high standard, and has fabulous views of the Devon countryside around the farm, where there are ponies and a well-stocked fishing lake.

CREDITON

Exeter 8.5 miles.

A busy market town 8.5 miles north west of the cathedral city of Exeter, and situated in an area of Devon known as “Red Devon” so called because of the distinctive red soil which is of prime agricultural quality, and excellent for growing swedes. This is a rural area of Devon which is tranquil, unspoilt and where ruby cattle are seen grazing amongst the rolling green meadows. There are many scattered villages with welcoming inns, well stocked farm shops and friendly locals. Crediton has a wide range of shops selling gifts and groceries, a fabulous farmers’ market, modern leisure centre and plenty of family friendly pubs. Crediton is less than 10 miles from Dartmoor National Park which provides excellent walking and horse riding opportunities and a half hour drive from the beautiful city of Exeter where there are theatres, stunning cathedral, shopping malls, and historic quay with waterfront cafes, antique shops and bars.
