Great communication with Jayne the manager beforehand as well as on-site when we arrived. We will definitely return to this part of Devon and to this accomodation.

  • "The coach house is a very well equipped, spotlessly clean and most comfortable cottage in an idyllic and very peaceful setting."

It is spacious inside and light and airy and the long windows in the sitting room let you look out onto the beautiful grounds from the comfortable chairs. The kitchen has everything you need and its large table and good supply of crockery, cutlery and glasses is much appreciated. The bedrooms are large, with en suites, and have plenty of storage and are very comfortable, we slept well. We really enjoyed our week here, the people at Cadhay are welcoming and friendly and the information in the folder was very helpful, particularly the local walks which were lovely. The cottages are dog friendly and there is a field that can be used for exercise which was useful. This was a relaxing place to return to after days out, we had booked it to attend a family wedding locally, we hope to return and explore more of this lovely area and just enjoy being at Cadhay.

  • "We have stayed on the Cadhay estate before and as before we received a warm welcome from the owners, who are lovely."

My only comment would be that the property is advertised as having antiques - this nearly put us off as our very young grandchildren were coming with us this time and we were concerned that the property might not be suitable. However the property was very well suited, there was plenty of room for us all, and nothing too valuable to damage. We were so pleased that we booked it. You might want to reconsider the description?

  • "A very well appointed, warm and comfortable cottage with particularly spacious downstairs accommodation."

Delightful setting. Excellent accessibility to the coast and inland attractions. Very efficient and friendly staff. Our only criticism was that the adjoining greenhouse was a bit of a mess

  • "This is the third time we have stayed at the properties in Cadhay and we are recommending it to all our friends and planning a return visit again next year if we manage to book in time."

its a place of pure escapism from the noise of home, giving a serenity that restores the soul - whatever age you are. Thank you for all of your help.

  • "This is the second time in a year I have stayed at the Coach House in the last six months."

It is in the loveliest setting and is wonderful if you have a dog, as I do. Everyone at Cadhay goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The cottage is really well equipped if you like to cook while you are away, as I do, I will return again.

The property

The Coach House is roomy and bright and beautifully furnished with antiques and charming paintings.

You open the door on the original tack room, still with its pine panelling and saddle racks but now a welcoming hall.

From here, head through to the spacious sitting room, all lovely and light with its ceiling height windows and cosy wood burning stove.

The large kitchen is a fine room for preparing and enjoying family meals with its dining area and door to the big greenhouse which leads through to your garden.

Take the stairs up to your three bedrooms, all pretty and with handy en suites.

The Coach House is a charming base for exploring the lovely area or simply relaxing.
