Had an absolutely amazing holiday here, the property is stunning, they have thought of everything and was so comfy and felt like home within hours. The views and area it's in are also lovely, quiet and pretty. Major supermarket about 35 mins away in Exeter but a half decent co op is in Moretonhamstead, which is about a 10 min drive. Lots of pubs and places to eat within a 10 min drive. I would love to stay here again. Susie and Colin were the perfect hosts/owners, lovely people and lovely dogs too. Thank you.

About 2½ miles from the popular Dartmoor town of Chagford is Puddaven, a beautifully converted south-facing barn in front of the owners?
Here, splendid isolation is the order of the day with no other houses nearby.
Inside is modern and well finished with beams, natural colours and pretty fabrics.
The accommodation is set over three levels with the ground floor devoted almost entirely to the huge master suite.
Here you'll find a super king-size bed, an en suite shower-room and in the window recess, a lavish freestanding bath from which are superb views to Easdon Tor.
On the middle floor the stylish living accommodation is open plan with a wood burning stove, fabulous kitchen area with black granite surfaces and a large glazed door to outside.
Steep ladder stairs (unsuitable for small children) lead to another super king-size double bedroom and a pretty en suite shower-room under the eaves, with a feature glazed wall overlooking the living area.
To the front of the cottage is a sitting-out area with furniture with wonderful long views over rolling moorland and meadows - you are welcome to wander the owners' thirty-two acres of farmland.
Nearby Chagford is a perennially popular, lively little town with pubs, shops and outdoor swimming pool, away from main roads in the shelter of high Dartmoor.
Past it the River Teign hurries through woods and meadows below the imposing Castle Drogo (National Trust) on the hills above.
Further afield the cathedral city of Exeter has plenty of amenities and a fascinating and historic past - spend the day shopping, dining or visit the picturesque quay.

A picturesque town at the northern point of Dartmoor National Park in Devon. Chagford, one of the five Stannary towns of Dartmoor, is small in size but is packed with amenities and things to do. There is a wide range of shops as well as four pubs. Chagford also has more active facilities such as public tennis court and an open-air swimming pool to enjoy at your leisure. It is a town of great history, home to the Three Crowns Hotel which dates back to the 1200's. Chagford is well known for its culture, hosting film, literary and music festivals in the town as well as an annual running race, known as Two Hills Race. Just over 21 miles away is the bustling, beautiful city of Exeter for a different kind of break, definitely worth a visit. The charming, attractive town of Okehampton sits just 12 miles away.
