“Dial House was the perfect place for travelling with dogs - a paddock to run in!”
The venue was cosy, warm and had everything one could want. It's location was ideal for touring the beautiful area and Chagford was a quaint town with brilliant eateries. Best of all was the friendly, helpful hosts. Highly recommended. Oct 2019 James Cheltenham.- Mrs James, October 2019

“The owners were very kind, generous and accommodating especially if the dogs.”- Mrs Roat, October 2019
Very friendly hosts. The cottage contained everything we could need. We were made to feel very welcome. The field at the side of the cottage was a great help, we had three dogs with us and being able to exercise them so close was wonderful. The cottage is perfectly placed in Devon and we managed to easily visit the north and south coasts of Devon, we were close enough to visit North Cornwall and to be able to hit the other side of Devon and the edge of Somerset, and of course we were able to see the beauty of Dartmoor. The directions to the cottage from the A30 were also excellent, we didn’t go wrong once!- Incoll, September 2019
“We have stayed at Dial Cottage many times and it is an excellent place to use as a base to explore Dartmoor and the surrounding area.”
Our lovely hosts Pam & Colin are very friendly and helpful. Chagford Town has all of the facilities necessary to complete a marvellous holiday.- Mr Bennett, September 2019
“Pam and Colin are excellent hosts.”
Lovely friendly people, it feels like home from home. We have stayed at Dial Cottage many times over the years. Dogs love the freedom of the field. Hope to be back soon.- Miss Anderson, August 2019
“We absolutely loved our stay at Dial House Cottage - fantastic setting, wonderful bird life to see every day and extremely welcoming, friendly hosts.”
The views were absolutely stunning and a real surprise. The rolling hills and huge open skies of Dartmoor stretch right out in front of the conservatory, terrace seating area and from the adjoining paddock, which we were really happy to make use of. The kitchen window also looks onto the view which is a real treat when standing at the sink! It's a great location because you can very easily walk into Chagford and make use of everything there is on offer, whilst living in a very private setting surrounded by nature. We watched a buzzard swooping around and loved watching the birds each day feeding on seeds by the terrace - nuthatch, bluetits, wrens, coaltits and chaffinches. The shower had very good water pressure, beds were comfy and there was a fantastic supply of books to choose from in the cottage. All in all, a perfect break - thank you!- Mr King, August 2019

In a peaceful location on the edge of the popular Dartmoor town of Chagford, this detached cottage is a welcoming and comfortable place to stay.
On the ground floor is a comfy sitting room with dining area, and on sunny days the adjoining conservatory is a lovely place to enjoy meals or maybe a Devonshire cream tea.

The small garden with table and chairs is a tranquil spot for sitting out, with a field next door where energetic children and dogs can let off steam to their hearts content.
There is lots to do in the area: perhaps a spot of shopping in the interesting little shops of Chagford, a hearty pub lunch in the riverside inn at Fingle Bridge, walks and cycle rides across dramatic Dartmoor or venture a little further afield to city delights in Exeter, 17 miles away.
