  • "It is difficult to write a short review on Exmoor apartment as my impressions are many and all favourable, so much so, that I can not fault this amazing apartment in an impressive Georgian Manor house."

Debs, the owner and host, was so welcoming that I felt we had been friends for years. There were tulips and wine set on the table as we entered the spacious lounge, which was a much appreciated gesture. The whole apartment was light, spotlessly clean and well kitted out with all you would need for a comfortable stay. The view from the bay windows was spectacular and ever-changing, whatever time of day or night, as we sat gazing out at the harbour and beyond. Out to the back, the patio was a sun trap and offered the perfect spot to enjoy afternoon tea or a glass of wine. The Admiral's House is just a 5 minute walk to the harbour, shops, restaurants and pubs. The dogs in particular enjoyed their daily run on the beach. Even though we only live 8 miles away, we will definitely be returning to Exmooŕ apartment and highly recommend it to you.

  • "The apartment was exactly as advertised and perfectly located at Ilfracombe harbour."

The owners were very friendly and extremely helpful, and dealt with all of our questions promptly. I would recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to stay in Ilfracombe. The only potential issue was the lack of dedicated parking, but there are plenty of local car parks and a 7 day permit was not too expensive and covered a number of other areas in North Devon too, so it didn’t prove to be a problem in the end. Can’t wait to stay there again!

  • "After several months of lockdown, this was a much needed break away."

Knowing that local restaurants may still be closed or would have limited capacity, we knew that the view from the dining table in Exmouth Apartment would give us the best dining experience for home cooked food or takeaways. It didn’t disappoint. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. The owners Debs & Al are lovely and were great in responding to any queries. Our dog loved it too - the harbour beach is dog friendly and there is a small park 5 minutes up the hill for walks. We would definitely like to stay there again.

  • "Your description stated that "there is a car park to the front of the property"."

You have corrected this now but after we had taken this into consideration. You did not state that a landlord bond of £100 was required. This only came to light after we had paid the balance in full. When we said that it was not on the details of the apartment you insisted that it was. It is still not on the details. I checked yesterday.

Thank you for your feedback. We do clearly advertise that a £100 Good Housekeeping Bond is payable at this property on our website but we're sorry to hear your missed this when you made your booking. Should you book with us in the future please feel free to contact us with any queries. Kind Regards, The Customer Relations Team Property Owner

  • "The accommodation was lovely with beautiful views."

Easy walking distance to dog friendly pubs, restaurants and bars. The owner was lovely and very helpful. Would gladly go back again. Although it does warn you that street parking is on a first come basis it failed to tell us that you would have to pay car parking fees. This during a week adds up . This should have been mentioned in the Sykes information on the property .

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed your stay at Exmouth and would love to have you back. We do apologise for any inconvenience the local parking was during your stay. Alternatively, you can buy a North Devon long stay parking permit for £20.80 and allows to park in several car parks throughout North Devon which is great for sightseeing and travelling around the North Devon area. • "A very comfortable apartment with the most amazing views over Ilfracombe harbour from the lounge."

It's very spacious, light and airy. There was also a sun trap of a patio where we could relax. It's 5 minutes to the harbour and some excellent restaurants in Fore Street. The hosts, Al and Debs were very warm and welcoming, filling us in on what to do and see in the area. We ate out most of the time but the kitchen was adequate. There is a lot to do and see in the area and we hope to return
