  • "Caravan only moderately comfortable, lounge seating needs comfort upgrade, the bed gave me backache as mattress not very supportive."

Knives in block need sharpening and frying pan surface has started to rust! Otherwise kitchen fairly well equipped. The site was nice and quiet but inclines around site not good for people with mobility issues. Pity walk through dog field to village was steep/uneven beyond field. A proper welcome pack containing some basic supplies such as milk, bread, butter, scones etc. would have been a welcome bonus!!

Loved it and would definitely go back.

  • "Very happy stay."

Everything was immaculate. Beautiful park. My only minor issue was I could never get hold of anyone in reception. And no bar Friday or Saturday as advertised? But still a great time.

  • "The site is tucked away in an old quarry and is very quiet."

We enjoyed the peace. The caravan had everything we needed for a short stay although the beds were a little uncomfortable and on the smaller side for tall guests. I am 5”6’ so had no problems but my husband struggled. The static itself is comfortable and the welcome pack was very comprehensive and even left us with dish washer tablets although we didn’t have a dish washer!!! I am guessing some of the caravans do! When we arrived at 5.45pm no one was about to book us in, this wasn’t a problem as the number on the reception was answered and a man helped us arrive at our caravan via telephone. We arrived during the heatwave and the caravan was a little hot box. The windows in the caravan didn’t open (there’s no aircon) so I called the same number and the situation was rectified within the hour. Something I was very grateful for! In all it’s a good situation for exploring the area and we really enjoyed it. It’s not 4 star accommodation but equally not basic and there are lots of positives. I am sorry we didn’t get to see the bar area open because it looked a nice space. The cleaning staff were very pleasant and I would return here but maybe in a lodge where the beds were a bit bigger!

  • "Our first time here and only second with a Sykes property so not sure what to expect from a facility."

Site very quiet and convenient to coast, unit very clean, tidy and well equipped in a nice quiet, wooded area of the site. Did not need much help but staff very pleasant and helpful when contacted.

  • "Your photos gave us the impression that we had views and possible direct access to the beach."

Never did find that seat or any ponies! We also felt the need for a coffee table to put our cup of tea (or glass of wine) on.
