The location is stunning the cottage is beautiful. With fantastic walks and a lovely pub on your doorstep. It ticks so many boxes for dog lovers.. The location is stunning the cottage is beautiful. With fantastic walks and a lovely pub on your doorstep. Attention to detail for the dogs with secure garden, dog bowls and bed is certainly one of the best cottages we’ve stayed in over 20 years. Where it fails to deliver is internally. Not enough chairs in the lounge for 6 adults although the dog sofa is a really great idea. Only 4 wine glasses (one was cracked), not enough crockery or pots and pans, not even a potato peeler. What really lets it down is the oven. Christmas dinner was almost ruined (had it not been for the cooking skills of one guest and a frying pan!) due to the fact the gas Aga delivers virtually no heat. The fan oven does not work the grill and standard oven fail to reach any cookable temperature and a couple of gas rings won’t light. With just a bit of attention to detail this property would be fantastic and we would have no hesitation in recommending such brilliant place for a perfect break. Please deal with these and several other issues and it’s such a shame potential customers may overlook this excellent property.
