  • "Great property in a really tranquil spot."

    The accommodation was very clean, well furnished with comfortable chairs and well equipped. We experienced no problems at all during our stay and would certainly stay here again when we are in the area.

  • "Had difficulty in operating the gas heating system."

    The radiators would only warm half way up, despite the thermostats being turned up. This suggested that the whole system needed a full service. Also it would be a good Idea to have a hand rail installed on the steps in the back garden to assist the elderly and the gate post is very loose.

  • "Everything is provided, just need to take a tea towel."

    Thoughtful touches include apple juice in the fridge, biscuits for humans, treats for dogs, a lantern, and comprehensive instructions about every aspect. A quiet location (no road noise). 3-minute walk to the pub (via a footpath, as the road is rather narrow) and a 5-minute stroll to the shop. Lovely for dogs, fields and footpaths lead to the river walk (then to Otterton or Newton Poppleford) - all off-lead.

  • "Lovely cottage in great location."

    Bed very comfortable. Shower room good . Kitchen facilities very good. No dishwasher though. Sofa comfortable . TV works well as does WiFi. Décor rather dated and mismatched . Bed linen mismatched . Towels hard and well used . Outside area good but needs upkeeping . Overall did enjoy my stay

    Location was great to see the sights and a lovely friendly pub near by that do great meal and dog friendly. We will definitely be returning in the future. Great place.

    Key collection easy. Cottage is very comfortable, quiet, and great dog walking accessible without going onto any roads. Pleasant back garden, and allocated parking. Owner was very helpful when I rang about a patio door lock problem - came out quickly to assess the issue.

  • "We had a lovely week at Warren cottage very clean and comfortable lovely quite spot and pub only a few minutes walk that serves a great Sunday lunch."

    We did have a problem with the hot water but it was sorted straight away by Ben the owner. We will definitely be back.

  • "Well we were not expecting Warren Cottage to be as splendid as it was."

    We were only staying 3 nights as a family of 4. It was perfect. The location was ideal for what we wanted to do and the cottage itself was clean and well equipped. The beds are very comfortable. The grounds and court yard garden were lovely. Great to explore and walk your dog. The Otter pub next door was only a short walk away and served delicious food. You never heard anyone else in the other cottages it was quiet but not too remote. Car parking was easy. All instructions and contact from the owners were clear and concise. It left us feeling like we definitely would be back to explore some more. Thank you x

  • "Comfortable apartment in a lovely, quiet location."

    We were very lucky with the weather and enjoyed the local walks - the river walk to Otterton was a highlight. The local shop is only open until 2PM at the moment due to lack of staff, so don't make our mistake and assume you can get groceries after you arrive!

  • "Outside light doesn't come on until you are standing on the lawn, which is dangerous because of the steps."

    The patio doors need attention. Shower door needs attention. Garden needs tidying up.

    Thank-you for your feedback. We have fixed the patio door and shower surround. The outside light which is in fact on the upstairs flat has been adjusted to improve coverage of the back garden. The garden's shrubs and lawn have been trimmed and ivy cut back. We believe the rear garden and patio are again a nice quiet place for relaxing. Thanks again for staying with us. Property Owner

The village offers countryside walks down towards the River Otter, as well as a convenience store for all of your essentials, and a local pub, The Otter Inn. Head over to Sidmouth for a day at the seaside, as well as more amenities and attractions, including a local beach and museum, and from here there are an abundance of stunning coastal walks for guests to enjoy. Check out the beautiful scenery of Bicton Park Botanical Gardens, or head over to the Dartmoor National Park where there are many scenic walks, and wildlife watching opportunities. Guests can also head over to the bustling city of Exeter, where you can find the impressive Exeter Cathedral, and Exeter Quay.
