  • "The cottage was as expected and only complaint is that the heater upstairs in lounge are doesnt work, even thought has instructions on it ."

    .saying don't switch off. The parking facility was a little tight, not helped by the two cottages attached at the of which appears to be a let to workmen in the vicinity, coming and going in a works van. The B&B next to it is for sale....maybe a victim of Covid-19....We came home on the Tuesday, because of Covid-19 spreading and the restrictions that involves.

Converted from a Grade II-listed coach house and stable, this characterful cottage sits in the beautiful small town of Colyton just two miles from the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site.

This lovely cottage offers a delightful reverse-level plan, with the bedroom on the ground floor and the open-plan living area upstairs, it offers a quirky layout with a host of fantastic amenities to give you the tranquil trip that you deserve, with a well-equipped kitchen and comfortable sitting area, welcoming your return after a day of exploring the region.

As the evening draws to a close, retire to the comfortable bedroom with a generous super-king-size double bed (zip-link to twin upon request) and ample storage space to house your personal belongings.

Outside there is off-road parking for one car and a modest seating area where you can sip on your morning coffee and contemplate how to best spend your day.

The property is adjacent to Stable Cottage, making it a perfect opportunity to bring the whole family together for a week of fun.

Surrounded by beautiful countryside, the cottage is an ideal base for coastal, countryside and riverside walking.

Take a stroll out with the dog before heading into the local area to explore your settings, the centre boasts an array of shops including a butchers perfect for your self-catered holiday, a book store, and even an art gallery to browse, spend an afternoon taking a leisurely stroll in the area before heading to one of the pubs or restaurants for a well-deserved beverage.

Close to the East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this vast area of heathland and wooded combes is the perfect place to enjoy nature, with either a gentle or strenuous walk and take in the stunning views of Devon, England’s first World Heritage Site.

It’s rich in history and wonder as well as offering a variety of activities to get involved in such as kayaking, fishing or explore the area for a true countryside feel.

Situated in East Devon, Colyton is a small town with its roots dating back to 700AD. Situated three miles from Seaton and six miles from Axmouth, Colyton has many links to its past with numerous historical buildings, such as St Andrew’s Church, and its winding lanes with independent shops. Good food and a warm welcome are on offer at the many inns. Colyton's tram station will provide you with an enjoyable ride alongside the River Axe to Seaton. The picturesque villages of Colyford, Southleigh, Northleigh and Farway lie nestled in the heart of the Coly Valley and are always a good day out.
