  • "A very comfortable bungalow set in a perfect location."

Just right for visits to Salcombe, Kingsbridge and surrounding areas. Everything was clean and prepared for our arrival. We loved the secure garden and patio area as our little Jack Russel can sometimes be a bit of an escapologist. The off road parking was a bonus and easy to use. We had no WiFi for the duration of our four day stay, but that was not really a problem for us. The TV signal though was very intermittent, probably due to atmospheric weather conditions. Perhaps an aerial booster would solve the problem? Overall we had an enjoyable stay and thanks to the owner.

  • "We had no television for two days, then after this it was a patchy signal on one tv for the rest of the week."

I had to retune many many times which was inconvenient. The games room was scruffy and untidy. I had to buy new pillows as the ones on the double bed were so thin and cheap. Patio area was very pleasant as was the living space.

We value you and your partners comments, as you were aware there had been a rather bizarre atmospheric disruption in the South Hams and many televisions in the area had been having signal problems. Our televisions and all equipment are brand new and never before been faulty. I'm saddened to here that the two of you had to buy more pillows as there are actually TEN pillows on the property of which I'm sure would be sufficient enough for two people, again, these are new and of very good quality. The games room, as stated is a games/garage/utility room therefore it is also design for storage. Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely stay in Cumber Close, the accommodation was spacious, clean and well equipped."

Yes the drive is quite steep and reverse parking was a little tricky, but perfectly possible! Given how many cars and houses were in the vicinity, we were amazed how quiet the area was, and the lack of light pollution gave us a wonderful view of the stars from the immaculate patio and back garden. We would definitely recommend the property and would return to Cumber Close if visiting South Hams again.

  • "This was a really good find for us and we will definitely be back!"

I picked it over other properties as this house had a large dining table, outdoor area and a games room! The kids enjoyed playing pool and darts whilst we chilled on the patio after being at the beach all day. It's in easy reach of loads of nice beaches, co-op/garage nearby for stocking up on our way home. There's a BBQ at the house which was great, and a bonus having a large fridge freezer so was able to get a food delivery for the week. Showers were hot, towels were lovely and fluffy, beds were comfy, kitchen was well equipped - even a tea pot! I would have liked a few baking trays, for cooking sausages, pizzas, chips, etc but it was a better stocked kitchen than most. The house was clean although we could tell dogs have stayed before from dog hair, but not an issue for us. I loved the little touches like herbs in the garden- perfect for mojitos! Clothes rack for swimmers, large dishwasher, plenty of glasses and plates, fruit bowl- all the things you take for granted when at home! We managed the parking no problems, it was a bonus to park outside the house, and 2 TVs so the kids were happy! Not much wardrobe space but I normally live out my suitcase anyway. Take an eye mask if you like a dark room as it's very sunny in the mornings- but we can't complain about the glorious weather we had! Thanks for having us stay, we'd love to come back again.

  • "There is no hanging space for the double bedroom."

A teapot would be a good addition to the kitchen equipment. The poole table was a welcome addition to the facilities. Overall Avery clean and comfortable bungalow although the parking could be a little "iffy"

  • "We were slightly surprised when we arrived at the cottage it is on a housing estate with so many cars and not much room to park, but luckily we had a drive way to park on !"

But getting out of that Parking space took some effort. But once inside of the property we were more than happy it was clean, very homely and well equipped and very comfortable thank you

  • "Lovely clean property, needed a wardrobe with hanging space in the bedroom as we had to live out of a suitcase for a week which wasn’t ideal."

There wasn’t a hairdryer and I’d forgotten mine. The kitchen was well equipped and there was everything that was needed. The drive was great if you could get on it as there were lots of cars parked up to the driveway and a few times blocking it so you could park the car on the drive. The listing states parking for 2 cars but there was no way you could get 2 cars on the drive.

  • "Whilst most aspects of the property were good, there were two less satisfactory: The microwave's position on top of the high fridge /freezer made it unusable."

There was not parking for two cars. The one space on the quite steep drive was very difficult to park on, as the proximity of parked vehicles on the road made manoeuvring even a small car tricky. It rather took the edge off our holiday when there was the concern every day about what the parking situation would be on our return.

  • "We had a wonderful week at 126."

A lovely family home, tastefully decorated and very well equipped. As two single people, it was great to have a bedroom and bathroom each! Our cockapoo companion loved the enclosed garden as did we humans, with its new looking patio and beautiful planting. The property is definitely a hidden gem and I would love to stay again.

  • "A very clean, bright and beautiful residence, with everything provided for."

Although I only needed to use the main bedroom and shower room, I saw how comfortable the other rooms and bathroom were. The only drawback , due to the unusually high temperatures and through no fault of the owners, was that the beautiful sun trap of the large patio became too hot for my dogs paws, and he couldn't enjoy this area with me until the cool of the evening. Altogether, a perfect resting holiday.

Thank you for your feedback, it is indeed a lovely suntrap for us humans. We have had a good look at some great outside rugs that we are going to put into the house should anyone in the future need to pop them outside for their said pooches paws. Thank you again for your feedback. I hope you come and visit again. Property Owner
