    The beds and linen were clean and well presented although one or two pillows should be replaced. The cottage has plenty of space for parking. For our break at the end of October the weather was very wet and windy and because the doors to both entrances were badly fitted there was quite a lot of draft. There is a patio and grass lawn with a good view to the distance and sea. The garden furniture and BBQ all looked very good. From what we could see there would be limited privacy from the next door cottage if you were in the garden, but then that didn't affect us because we didn't have the opportunity to use it.

The property

Clementine Cottage is a detached, single storey barn set in a wonderful Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty within 87 acres of rolling farmland.

Recently updated in 2018, this cottage has lovely views out across the valley to the sea beyond; and is just 1 1/2 miles from the estuary town of Salcombe, with its stunning coastline and sandy beaches.

The nearby village of Malborough, with two pubs, post office/village stores and garage, is only 1 mile away and Salcombe or Malborough can be be reached via a new cycle/walk path at the top of the drive. From the hallway, the property opens into a superb open plan kitchen/dining/living room with double French doors leading out to the terrace and garden.

The comfortable sitting area is tastefully furnished with two sofas, TV with Sky (Freeview), DVD player, CD hi-fi and an electric fire for cosy evenings!

A well-equipped kitchen area is fitted with oak units, five-ring gas range cooker and oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave and washer/dryer and a dining table and four chairs. At the end of the hallway, the pretty master bedroom has a King-size bed, wardrobe and drawers.

There is a beautiful stone tiled bathroom with bath, shower (over), wash-hand basin, w.c, and heated towel rail. To the rear of the property, a private enclosed garden and patio area borders the farm and takes full advantage of the lovely unspoilt views down to the sea.

Observe the plentiful wildlife in the area, visit several country houses and gardens close by or visit the lovely market town of Kingsbridge. Alternatively, explore the wide open spaces and rocky tors of Dartmoor, just 15 miles away. A perfect holiday location, with much to see and do.
