The property

Tucked away into the corner of a grassy courtyard, The Old Granary is a characterful haven situated by the village of Blackawton, in the South Hams between Totnes and Dartmouth.

Thoughtfully designed for romantics, this getaway makes a precious holiday, your chance to unwind in a beautiful part of Devon, an excellent base for bird watchers and walkers.

The cottage has old maple flooring with rugs, underfloor central heating, and is elevated by rustic natural colours which complement the old walls.

Up the curved handcrafted staircase, you will discover an open-plan living area, the walls are partially exposed leaving the beautiful old stonework to be seen in all its glory.

The limed panelled ceiling with exposed beams gives the room the feel of a romantic log cabin, there is even a pleasant view towards the owners farmhouse and garden.

The double bedroom is situated by the entrance, with a rustic feel, and bedside tables, along with a lovely wet room featuring marble and a mosaic border.

Should you wish to take in the location, enjoy the sunny grassed patio, which contains a bench for alfresco dining, surrounded by shrubs and plants for a delightful finish.

Very compact but charming and a peaceful farmyard setting with chickens roaming.

The location offers a delightful balance between seclusion and convenience, with a wealth of picturesque walks, welcoming local pubs and more on your doorstep.
