“Such a lovely cottage, beautifully organised with everything required for a restful holiday.”

All sorts of small things have been thought about, from the comfortable beds, lovely bedding, great decor, tv and Netflix, a welcome pack including fresh milk and basic essentials (as well as wine and biscuits) and a super kitchen with all mod cons...and a teapot and strainer! The caretaker was so helpful, as were the owners who couldn’t have tried harder to make our 2 week stay any better. ...

We were delighted to find cottages that would accept our 2 dogs and we would definitely make Helpful Holidays our first choice for holiday cottages in the future.

The property

In the heart of pretty Combeinteignhead, close to the ancient church and a popular good-food pub is aptly named Church Cottage.

This attractive cottage is surprisingly spacious and full of character.

Traditional beams and a wood burning stove in the sitting room sit neatly alongside modern tech, including a smart TV, and Bluetooth speaker.

The Farmhouse-style dining room is warmed by the oil-fired Rayburn and leads through to a bright modern kitchen with glazed doors to a sunny conservatory.

From the dining room, stairs lead to three bedrooms, all prettily furnished ?

a large double with king-size bed and en suite shower-room, another smart king-size double room, and a twin.

At the back is a small, enclosed courtyard garden with a table and chairs - a sheltered suntrap for outdoor dining with pretty church views.

Nearby are a whole host of attractions and sandy beaches, including the family friendly resort towns of Teignmouth and Dawlish.

Perennially popular Torquay, hosts Living Coasts, Torquay's?

Dinosaur World, a wave and leisure pool and a harbourside Ferris wheel all within a short drive.

Whatever you choose, Church Cottage is perfect for exploring both coast and countryside.
