  • "Really enjoyed our stay at Bearscombe, the cabin was set in beautiful surroundings and was warm and well kitted out with everything you would need."

We were left with salt and pepper, 2 pints of milk, tea, coffee and sugar and a bottle of fizz. We have already recommended it to friends and will definitely be returning.

  • "We had a lovely stay at Bearscombe View."

Everything that was needed was there. The location was perfect and the only sounds were the sounds of nature. We loved the peace and tranquillity and have come home fully relaxed and refreshed. Thank you

  • "A lovely property off a quiet lane, in the middle of trees & relaxing scenery."

Slept well - heard nothing except the usual pigeons in the morning! Everything we needed and very clean. You have to drive 15+ minutes to get anywhere although Ring Feeder farm shop/café was very near & well worth a visit. The very narrow lane up to the main road was about a mile but we never met anyone! Enjoyed Greenway, Agatha Christie's house, & took the 5 minutes ferry from Dittisham to get there as parking is limited at the house. Went to Kingsbridge several times & the coast - beautiful cliff walks.

The hosts were more than helpful and we would not think twice of booking this beautiful cabin again.

  • "Lovely accommodation in a lovely location."

The lodge was very clean and spacious with additional perks such as Sky TV and some milk and a bottle of Prosecco left for us in the fridge. The gardens were perfect for our dog to run around in and for watching the sun set over the fields, very relaxing and peaceful. Good location for visiting places nearby such as Noss Mayo and Bigbury-on-Sea. We also visited the California Inn pub and the Ringfeeder farm shop and cafe, both of which were lovely and very close by. The narrow lanes were a bit of a challenge to drive along, but being from Somerset, we are used to lane driving so not a problem for us. Would definitely recommend this as a place to stay, both to relax in the lovely surroundings or as a base for exploring more of Devon.

  • "Calm, peaceful location."

Cosy for two. Well-equipped, though a dishwasher would be useful. The very narrow lanes are stressful for driving.

Thank you for your feedback. We will look at the possibility of installing a dishwasher. Property Owner

  • "Really lovely lodge and very well situated in a peaceful location."

Well equipped and spacious for 2 adults and a 10 year old. Nice touch with the prosecco, milk and biscuits! The only slight issue was that we found the matresses a bit hard, but appreciate everyone's different.

P/S We would have been very interested in a folder with photos of the construction of the lodge if you have any. Many thanks Linda and Rob
