  • "The property wasn't cleaned."

The sink and inside the microwave was dirty. There was cobwebs over the lamps and under the cooker hood...which are still there and we had mice in the cupboard under the fridge that kept nibbling our food which we had to move. The bedrooms were lovely but there was dead daddy long legs hanging in the corner over the bed and also in the corner of the shower. I think property needs decorating and up dating abit. The sofa bed wasn't comfortable to sit on. Also we weren't warned about the builders right next door to the property turning up at 8am everyday. There was no welcome basket or little extras like in the other sykes properties we stayed at. We made the best of it but it was abit out of the way and the parking isn't good. I'm sorry but I don't think we would stay here again. Not unless things change abit.

  • "Property was spacious and very clean- well equipped and views were great."

Plenty to do in surrounding areas but you need to travel at least 20 minutes in a car.

  • "It was alittle but more out of the way than we realised."

It does say that it’s 1.4mls to the nearest pub but did not go on to explain that it’s on the road. It’s a fast road very hilly. A few nice places to eat out but would always need to go in the car.

  • "The cottage is perfect, the view is amazing and everything you needed for a comfortable stay was there in the accommodation."

The only slight issue was the access, typical for Devon, this was via a steep one lane track, which is why the views were so amazing. Plenty of wildlife to see from the balcony. Would definitely stay again if we return to the area.

  • "Despite the weather we had a lovely holiday."

The cottage is so quiet and peaceful. Highly recommended (But it's a shame about the approach road. The potholes were very, very deep).
