“Steeped in history and with the call of seagulls in your ears Royal William Yard has a large garden space and many restaurants to suit all tastes.”

Ferries to and from Cornwall's Mount Edgcumbe House and Country Park and Plymouths Barbican Quarter run throughout the day. A perfect place to relax, enjoy and take in all the south west of England can offer. A half hour takes you to the city centre or the Barbican or the Hoe. The Escape @ Royal William Yard (4006) apartment was perfect for 2 people. There is free Wi-Fi and TV . Phone signal is best near the Juliet Balcony door which overlooks the courtyard of the Brewhouse building the apartment sits within. The bathroom is furnished with a powerful shower. The bed (settee) was very comfortable and afforded a good nights sleep. There was a kitchen range of oven, freezer, fridge, microwave which supported home cooked food if you want to stay in (could do with a little more cutlery and a teaspoon or two). Aldi and Lidl just a short walk away. Would go back in a heartbeat.

The property

A stunning, first floor studio apartment within Plymouth's Royal William Yard development, once the Navy's Victualling Yard.

Boasting exposed limestone walls, oaks floors, high ceilings and huge floor-to-ceiling windows, this stylish apartment has been sensitively restored to provide a peaceful and fresh, yet historic living space for couples and small families wishing to explore Plymouth.

The apartment is on the first floor and is accessed via the nearby pedestrian stairs or the lift which is but a short distance from the flat.

A large hallway leads into a bright and airy studio space, where you will find a sofa bed, a well-equipped kitchen and a dining area.

There is a separate shower room featuring a wall adorned with mirrors and a Juliet balcony provides a vista across the historic site and is the perfect spot to enjoy the morning sunshine with a cup of coffee.

This apartment is set on a development, situated on the water's edge, where you will find cafes, a wine bar, restaurants, artisanal bakery and an art gallery.

The huge quayside provides a marvellous vantage point to the ever-changing marine activity and stunning sunsets, while the shingle beach, a few minutes’ walk away, is perfect for a romantic evening stroll.
