  • "Beautiful lodge set in a stunning location."

The location has everything you need if you want to get away from it all or are interested in visiting places of interest. The owners/hosts are very helpful and friendly. The Lodge is situated on Hollywell farm but is private and undisturbed. We would definitely stay again.

  • "Lovely cabin, in a location with great views."

Well equipped and very clean and tidy. Access is very good, as once you get to Cheriton Bishop (via A30 and a short stretch of B road), the last mile or so to get to the cabin is a single track road, which is mostly quite wide and the narrower parts have lots of passing points. So no need for long stretches of reversing if meeting traffic coming the other way.

  • "Our second stay at Dartmoor View and it was just as good as the first."

Ideally located to vist both the North and South Devon coastal towns. We used to check the weather forecast each morning and head out to the more favourable options. Torquay, Paignton, Croyde, Bude, Sidmouth, Dartmouth & Dawlish to name but a few. Or you can stay at the lodge and soak up the sunshine

  • "The property location and views from it were fantastic."

It was just the right size for us and what we needed. The wifi was good, and the kitchen well stocked. I don't like to be negative, but there we a couple of niggles. The double bed was quite lumpy where you could feel the springs. I have a foam mattress at home so perhaps this is normal and I am being over-critical? The weather was pretty bad on some nights, the wind and rain were pretty ferocious, but I'm afraid this highlighted the gaps where some of the doors and windows didn't close properly. It just made some of the evenings drafty and noisy. If the weather wasn't quite so stormy, we probably wouldn't have noticed. Overall we enjoyed our stay. Thank you again for taking in our Tesco shopping that arrived early, we really appreciated that. Also the cake and wine were very tasty.

Thank you for providing feedback, we are pleased that you enjoyed the fantastic views from your stay at Dartmoor View. It may be that the bed in question needed to be adjusted slightly, as we have had many happy guests compliment the comfort of our beds. We can confirm that the windows are doubled glazed and vented as per standard health & safety requirements and all in good working order. We were more than happy to assist you with your shopping and glad that you enjoyed the treats provided! > Property Owner

  • "A lovely modern lodge in a wonderful setting."

Centrally located in Devon with easy access to the main A30. This is the perfect location to enable you to visit the whole of the county and beyond. The lodge itself was exceptionally clean and very well appointed. We holidayed in September and we’re blessed with fantastic summer like weather. The evening sunsets are stunning ! We will definitely return here for another holiday next year. A big thank you to Len and Pat (the owners) for making this a real home from home. See you next year ! Mark & Jayne.

Super hosts, incredible views, comfortable lodge with fantastic separate bedrooms for our twin 7 year old girls. It was spacious & great to all sit round a good sized table for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Amazing sunsets & loved watching the horses in the fields. Very interesting area with beautiful green trees & fields as you drive around, on the edge of Dartmoor. 35-40 mins drive to Teignmouth & Dawlish (great coastal areas).
