    We’ve had an amazing week. We’ve travelled to some incredible places across the world but this week was one of the best we’ve had. Extremely chilled and relaxing. The house is perfect, situated in a great location - so peaceful and quiet. Really nice spec and the jacuzzi is amazing. ...

    We’ve had an amazing week. We’ve travelled to some incredible places across the world but this week was one of the best we’ve had. Extremely chilled and relaxing. The house is perfect, situated in a great location - so peaceful and quiet. Really nice spec and the jacuzzi is amazing. The cleanliness wasn’t bad it just could have been a little better. Wrappers underneath the sofa seats, dog toy under the sofa and quite dusty. Needed a better hoover. That aside it was just brilliant!!

The clean contemporary kitchen / diner is the perfect place to prepare and enjoy your meals together.

With slate tiled flooring, it comes equipped with a range of appliances, oak work surfaces and modern gloss cream units; it is fully stocked with everything you need (even including an ice-bucket for those special occasions!).

The kitchen / diner opens out onto a large floor-lit wooden deck that captures endless sunshine throughout the day and boasts views that extend to the sea and the beautiful North Devon coastline.

The deck is perfect for BBQs and summer social occasions or just to lounge on one of the sun-beds whilst enjoying the calm surroundings.

The gardens are enclosed and gated so if it all gets too much you can relax and unwind in the hot tub!

The lounge is restful and cosy and snug in the colder months.

The TV, DVD and iphone compatible stereo will help to keep you entertained on those occasional rainy days!

Light, airy and refreshing in the summer and cosy and warm in the winter, Mermaids is perfect for families to feel right at home with the flexible accommodation arranged over three bedrooms (one of which has an en-suite).

Each bedroom has been tastefully furnished with soft bedding and oak furniture to store your personal items.

Flexible and adaptable, two of the bedrooms can be arranged to suit either twin or double bed configurations and one bedroom can even convert to a children’s playroom if needed.

The master bedroom features a modern en-suite shower room.

And the remaining bedrooms are served by a spacious family wetroom / bathroom that boasts a double walk-in shower and a separate, free standing bath tub with in-floor candle-style lighting.

Perfect to soften the mood along with those luxury bubbles!

The location of the property is enviable: it is just a short 5 minute stroll to Croyde’s beautiful beach.

Croyde Bay has everything: internationally renowned surf, fine golden sand, wonderful dunes, blue seas and interesting rock pools on both sides; it is lifeguarded in the summer months; and dogs are welcomed to the beach out of season.

Croyde village has a fantastic range of amenities including many eateries; a selection of independent shops; a regular local artisan market; pubs and bars; and children will love the Cascades fun pool in the local beach resort.

Not only is the property ideally situated within the village, it is also great for exploring the spectacular North Devon Coastline.

Walkers will love the National Trust coastal footpath which is easily accessible on foot; the Braunton Burrows World Heritage Site is really close by; and the Saunton Golf Club is a 10 minute drive away.

More stunning beaches (such as Putsborough, Woolacombe and Saunton Sands) and beautiful Devon villages (such as Georgeham, Combe Martin, Lee and Berrynarbor) are on the doorstep.

Trek along the South West Coast Path from Braunton to Instow and you may even see wild otter and salmon as you join the Tarka Trial along the estuary of the River Taw.

Mermaids at 9 Lane Head Close is a wonderful, relaxing base with so much to explore in the surrounding area.

Croyde is a pretty coastal village situated in North Devon, lying on the South West Coast Path near to Baggy Point, owned by the National Trust. It is a popular destination for holidaymakers with several small campsites, a small retail area and two larger holiday parks, bringing in a happy flow of tourism to replace its once agricultural roots. Croyde is a popular choice for the young surfing community at Croyde Bay, offering various waves due to the shape of the bay, not one for the faint-hearted! Nearby are the popular areas of Woolacombe, Putsborough, Georgham and Saunton Sands, making Croyde the perfect place to uncover all the wonders of North Devon and beyond.
