  • "We loved our stay here, very clean , excellent location, bedroom needs an other wardrobe only one small wardrobe in each room had to leave most of clothes in case because wardrobe to small for two people and if you go September when it gets dark earlier it’s not safe getting to property as slope has no rails to hold on to and very dark and light only stay on for 5 seconds which means when your walking down the steps if your not a runner the lights go out half way down extremely dangerous."

Needs urgent attention or there will be a accident

Thank you for your feedback. We have now added extra lighting at the back so it is fully lit up during the night. Property Owner

  • "The property is immaculate as a new building."

The beds are comfy. Kitchen and living room plenty of space and we'll set out.Bathroom good.car parking was ok for my quashqai just. Negatives were that garden for dogs not pet friendly and not secure. If you wanted to sit in garden it is small and no sunlight. 30 steps down to property and a decent hill to negotiate to get to harbour and amenities. The property is dark all the time and need lights on in the day. Path down steps requires more lighting.Beware of smoke alarm in kitchen goes off very quick and piercing noise. Plenty of good bars and restaurants in close proximity and beaches better at Brixham and Paignton short drive. Be an idea to have a guest book and rules in property.

Excellent facilities, very modern. Close to everything. Great shower and comfortable living room. Just for those a little challenged with fitness/walking there are steps down to the property, around 30 or so. Very stable access with hand rails and lighting provided. Overall this is a fantastic property and great location to all of Torquay

  • "Lovely modern, well equipped 2 bedroom property close to Torquay centre, though basement apartment on a hillside, so not suitable for people with mobility issues, but this was fine for us."

Fabulous welcome gifts and ultra clean. Owner helpful and knowledgeable about local bars and restaurants and lots of local attractions within easy reach. Parking space narrow, but okay if car parked on an angle.

  • "The property itself is very nice spacious and clean it had everything you need to be home from home for a week ."

It was a lovely touch to have a few welcome items left for us after a long drive. We had a few issues with the property 1 being the steps down the picture do show steps but no where near the full extent. There are in actual fact a steep slope and 3 if not 4 sets of steps down to the property, which is not good for anyone suffering with any mobility issues I have to admit I struggle quite alot as I struggle with my sight. The 2nd issue was the parking the space that is at the property is very awkward to park in .it is technically 1/2 parking space and you have to be experienced to park .we struggled with a medium sized car. The last problem was the fact the property is under the owners home I would have expected a tiny bit more courtesy after paying a lot of money to stay there, but it seemed that was not the case. It was not the relaxing week I expected. Maybe the owners do not know just how noisy it is the apartment.

Thank you for your initial comments. The steps entering the apartment are clearly shown in all pictures of the property. This is a new build completed in 2020 and therefore fully compliant with Local Authority building regulations. There are therefore within the correct boundaries and have the relevant hand rails. The parking space is small as stated in the property description. There has never been a time that a guest has not been able to park their car at the property. Including 4x4 and larger cars. • "We stayed during the week 18th June 2022 and couldn't fault the interior of the place."

The owner was very accommodating, kind and extremely helpful. The rooms were spacious , well furnished , clean and of a high standard. However our feedback would have to reflect the 4 stars in so much that the parking is quite difficult ( we struggled to get a Vauxhall Astra in place) . The entrance down the side of the garage is very steep and has many steps ( I fell down them when unloading our luggage ). Though we could see that the owner has obviously spent a large amount on the property, there is a problem with noise from above. It is fair to say that the owner and his family do try to keep the noise down but we were disturbed by them moving around above us on several occasions. Though it advertised as being dog friendly we would point out that there isn't any grassed area for the dog to do his toilet. We would recommend this place provided you don't have a dog, have a very small car and don't mind a bit of noise.

We had to phone him to find exactly where we were and he was kind enough to show us round personally. The apartment is super modern and has everything you could possibly need - I wish I could have taken the kitchen home with me !! The bathroom was a delight, as were the bedrooms. I would recommend a torch for returning at night, and Steve, if you’re reading this I feel some more handrails on the steps leading down to the apartment would be most useful! Lovely place to stay, very close to bars, shops and restaurants - Ephesus, Biancos and The Elephant highly recommended.

Thoughtfully designed to an extremely high standard, with modern furnishings and a sleek white decor, The Bay is accessed via a set of landscaped steps down from your off-road parking space, where you will find a small enclosed garden with seating area.

Heading inside, you will be met with a spacious living/dining room, with stunning white-tiled flooring and a large L-shaped sofa with a splash of sea greens and blues, as well as a dining table with seating for four, the perfect place to gather together for family meals and to plan your activities for the duration of your stay.

The kitchen is equally as impressive, with sublime granite worktops, a carved granite sink, a stunning 5-ring gas Miele Range cooker and a host of other appliances and amenities to enable you to cook delicious meals, with a dishwasher and washing machine included for your convenience.
