Very expensive for what it was. We wouldn’t go back to that particular cottage, although everything was fine with the administration side of things. Overall vastly over priced in our opinion.

The car park was close by and although very busy, we managed to find a space. Having the parking permit was brilliant.

It was a very useful base for touring Dartmouth and the surrounding area. The cottage is functional and provided all of the resources I required. You just need to be aware of two quite awkward staircases the second you enter the property. It might not suit everyone. You cannot park at the cottage but you are provided with a car park pass which allows you to park on the town car park just around the corner from the cottage. Being there in March,I had no problems parking on the days when I took the car out. You are also provided with a pass for the park and ride for the busier periods. Everything you need is on your doorstep including the local pubs and shops. It is easy to get a boat from the quay to go up and down the River Dart. I would use this cottage as a base again.

“Found living room lamp had broken glass shade, reported this but it was not fixed before we left.”

Please update TV, was very disappointed to find only very basic channels available. Could not even get Freeview, which when you are following a program and forced to miss 5 episodes is annoying.

Dartmouth View Cottages

A group of four rustic, vintage cottages set in an elevated position on neighbouring streets overlooking the stunning town of Dartmouth. Two of the terraced cottages sit on Broadstone, whilst the other two are on Clarence Hill just around the corner. They range from being all ground floor to set over three floors, some of the Dartmouth View Cottages are dressed with characterful wooden beams and fantastic stone feature walls. They all have alluring sitting rooms and well-appointed kitchen dining rooms to enjoy your home-cooked meals in. They offer WIFI and accept dogs, as well as the availability of a cot and highchair should you require them. The electric storage heaters, traditional low doors and steep, narrow stairways give these cottages a real sense of character and charm. The bedrooms are quaint and cosy, with the ones upstairs being under the eaves and accompanied by delightful views over the town. The centre of Dartmouth comes a short walk down the hill, the charming town provides a good variety of shops, restaurants and pubs for you to choose from. There is also a museum, art galleries and you can even hire a boat to ride around the harbour on the clear days. The Dartmoor National Park comes within easy reach and is the perfect spot for you outdoor enthusiasts with its walking and cycling opportunities and incredible scenery. The market town of Totnes is also a short drive away, offering charming buildings, a castle and excellent shopping. This group of four quaint cottages are perfect for friends, couples and families to come away and make the most of this great area of the South West of England.

Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October.
