  • "We did manage to get to property due to unbelievable steep and narrow road, which all though mentioned did not quite highlight how bad this road is."

We therefore lost our holiday and money. Very poor customer service

  • "What an amazing property."

Stunning views that you could never tire of waking up to each morning. The property was in great condition and very clean, and as a family of five met our needs perfectly. The real clincher was the accompanying parking space which is a must in Dartmouth. I think it’s safe to say when we visit Dartmouth again we will be staying here.

  • "Estuary View is a lovely property with stunning views."

There are lots of thoughtful touches. The accommodation in the annexe was not of the same high standard as in the main house. It would have been helpful to have had some basic cleaning materials provided and maybe a washing machine pod or two. All other properties we have stayed in have provided a welcome pack and this was a little lacking here but otherwise the property is excellent.

  • "Great property, love the bedroom makeover since last time we stayed - looks fab."

Kitchen well stocked with all you would need for the week. It’s a beautiful property with a fantastic view that cannot be beaten - well worth the narrow drive up to the property. We hope to come back for our 3rd stay next year! Downstairs bathroom would be great if it could be the same spec as the top bathroom but this is just being picky, it really is a great house.

  • "The house was absolutely lovely with the most incredible views."

Parking was so welcome too. The house was well equipped with games and all the utensils you could wish for. We didn’t actually use the annex in the end but I would say it could benefit from a little update with wall colour and more modern carpet but it too was well equipped and I’m sure my guests (20 somethings) would have been perfectly happy with it. The family bathroom would benefit from a glass shower screen but these are very small issues and purely suggestions. The house was really stunning and the outlook was simply fabulous. The upstairs room and bathroom were lovely. Thank you, we had a brilliant week and were very cosy can definitely recommend . The Clarks

  • "Great kitchen, we found everything we needed for cooking great meals."

Beds very comfortable and bathrooms had brilliant forceful showers. Lovely garden for the morning sun and the conservatory was perfect for evening meals. Very spacious house. Brilliant to have 2 parking spaces on a very narrow road. Lovely town, just five minutes walk. I recommend Rockfish for a lovey dinner and the river cruise is a must, it takes you to Totnes, another lovely town for shopping. The South West Coastal path, east and west, were great for walks with the dog especially on hot days as the woodland canopy kept us and the dog cool though some pathways are very steep. Generally we had a perfect week which couldn't be bettered really. Thank you.

  • "My mother and myself thought the house was lovely and as my mum of 88yrs came for the view."

Well, it could not have been beaten. However as the driver I found the approach to the house testing and was a bit of a concern to me. You are probably aware that I reported a problem with the heating and water but I was more concerned about your heating bill than there was any inconvenience to us. I do have a suggestion though, I think the shower areas could do with a grab handle on each bathroom. Otherwise we had a very enjoyable time and the dog thought the balcony area was great and spent most of his time out there watching the day go by. I think he would have moved in !

  • "Overall the property was lovely."

Guests should not underestimate that the journey into town is as challenging as the steps to the property for elderly or infirm guests.

  • "We had an absolutely fantastic week in this amazing property."

Sunrise at the property is truly spectacular and we could not believe how busy the harbour was in November. I celebrated my 60th birthday and the house made it a memorable occasion. The views are brilliant and the space is great for adults. A little scary driving in and out because the road is 2 way and very, very narrow but once you are in it is well worth the trip! The walk to town is so short and we certainly improved our fitness climbing the steps from town 2 or 3 times a day. I have a few suggestions for you to consider to improve on this beautiful place. 1) Provide an oven glove 2) Consider having a parking permit for town (especially whilst there is extensive building works going on at several properties on the road) We had 5 adults and would have normally had 3 cars but came in 2 but if you had 8 adults a permit would be great for another car. 3) Clean/ replace the Gtech K9 filter. ( fortunately we have one so we cleaned it out and then were able to hoover)

  • "Wonderful setting, exceptional views from all water facing windows, of which there are many."

So many places to sit & enjoy the water. Be together but also space to have time apart if needed. A superb house. Stairs to & from road to house as well as those down to town, a little challenging for the frailer members of the family & narrow street a little nerve racking at times but all well worth it.

Nothing to fault, just need to be able to be slightly active to be able to walk up and down to town.

Many thanks for taking the time to leave your wonderful feedback. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay. We hope to welcome you back to the are soon. Property Owner

  • "Stunning million dollar views from a very comfortable and well equipped property - the house is very well designed to take full advantage of the views from the huge lounge, the conservatory and the outside decks - views up the river to the naval college on the left, Kingswear town directly opposite and the mouth of the estuary and Dartmouth Castle to the right."

Parking for 2 cars is a real bonus in this area of the town. A couple of points to consider - 38 steep steps from the parking to the house (pack light!) and very narrow streets to approach the house - max 6ft 6ins clearance in many places makes for some very careful driving. Highly recommended if the last 2 points don’t put you off!!

  • "We were a little surprised at the paucity of cleaning products supplied, ie hand soap, bin bags, dishwasher tablets, washing up liquid, washing powder, kitchen roll and toilet roll."

When we stay in properties, we expect to keep them properly clean and tidy, and to have the necessary products to hand. Having to buy a full set was disappointing, and felt a bit stingy given the price of the property. I feel that providing adequate cleaning products would benefit the owners and encourage guests to maintain the property during their stay

  • "The house is lovely but just a few comments."

    1. The conservatory has 3 separate leaks in the roof and as we had heavy rain on 2 nights we spent a lot of time mopping up rain water. 2. The fridge in the kitchen was hanging off the hinges when we arrived, luckily my husband is a handyman and mended it. We have taken a photo of the fridge before it was mended. 3. The very large tree in front of the sitting room window which blocks a considerable amount of the view from there, this was particularly disappointing as the reason we booked the house was for the views. I feel it has grown considerably since the photos were taken as it blocks the view totally of the opposite bay. 4. The cleaning requirements asked us to put all our bedding into black bags, but these were not left for us. I phoned the Coast and Country agents and asked for some but they didn't appear. I left a note for the cleaners to this affect. In the current climate, this should have been correctly sorted out.
