“We had a fantastic week in Dartmouth at Gallery 34.”

Beautiful views, lounge, decking and a very comfortable place to hang out. Location is perfect, right by the best pubs and chippy - yet you have the woods behind for dog walks and the coast walk from the doorstep. We ended up eating in a lot - super appliances and a lovely view.

Thanks for a great holiday.

The property

Sitting in a prominent position in Dartmouth is this superb property, resting amidst the hustle and bustle of this Devonshire town.

Situated across four floors and sleeping up to six people this property is ideal for exploring all that this corner of Devon has to offer with your friends and family.

Enter the property onto the first floor, where you will be welcomed into the well-equipped kitchen, boasting everything you will require to pack a picnic for the next day’s beach day or even a delicious home-cooked evening meal.

Once dinner is cooked, re-group with your loved ones within the dining room, where the large windows flood in natural light into the space and offering pretty views across the River Dart to enjoy as you tuck in.

Joining the dining area is the sitting room, where a woodburning stove takes centre stage; light the fire and cosy up on the sofa before tuning into the TV; a perfect spot for those chilly winter evenings or rainy days.

Follow the staircase up to find an alternative sitting room, with limited head height, open up the Velux windows and admire the views across Dartmouth town or unwind on the sofa with a book in hand, as a cool breeze gently fills the room on a summer’s afternoon.

At the end of your adventures, retreat to the bedrooms, each one enjoying a refreshing ambiance and plenty of storage to keep your things.

Choose to catch your rest in either the super king-size bedroom with en-suite, the kingsize double or the lower-ground-floor twin bedroom, offering a flexible arrangement for all party make-ups.

To the outside of the property is a rear garden with steps leading up to a raised deck, where you can further soak up the views and enjoy al fresco dining at its best.

With its excellent, central location, a wide range of shops rest just paces away, as well as a number of eateries and pubs to enjoy if you do not feel like cooking one evening or fancy a sweet treat.

For things to do, be sure to immerse yourself in the local history by exploring the historic wonder of Dartmouth Castle and Bayard’s Cove Fort.

For a traditional beach day, travel slightly further afield to Blackpool Sands, a Blue Flag Award winning beach or enjoy the coastal setting further by walking along the famous South West Coast Path.

Alternatively, for a unique experience, hop on board the Dartmouth Steam Railway and travel through the countryside setting to Paignton, or you could enjoy a boat trip to Brixham, an attractive harbour town.

Gallery 34 promises to be an unforgettable break to Devon.

DARTMOUTH

Totnes 12 miles.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town. For those seeking some beach activities, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blue Flag Award winner Blackpool Sands, and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular and just a stone's throw from Dartmouth. A relaxing location in South Devon.
