  • "Fabulous cosy cottage based in the middle of town."

The owners went out of their way to make my first solo Christmas a brilliant one with the Christmas tree, decorations and hamper. So much so, that Dartmouth is going to become my new Christmas tradition. Thank you!

  • "Stayed at Lake Victoria Cottage at the beginning of December, and the town was lovely and quiet ~ the calm before the Christmas period!"

The cottage is sited in the centre of Dartmouth with a 2 minute flat walk to the shops etc. It is a cosy cottage ie small, and suitable for two adults. Please note there are no views! The kitchen was well equipped, though an oven glove would have been useful! The stairs are steep and semi-spiral and so anyone with mobility issues would possibly find them an issue. The yale lock catch did not always work (this has been mentioned before by others). The sofa, again as others have reported, is so uncomfortable! Is it a sofa bed? It really does need to be changed. Having stayed in Dartmouth many times over the years, a folder with equipment instructions ie how to use washing machine, oven etc has been found to be really useful. If it was available, we couldn't find it. It was lovely to see two welcome packs ~ one of teas & coffee; and one with cleaning materials. The cottage came with a parking permit for the town car park and as it was December, finding a parking space wasn't an issue.

Very well located to town. Maintained perfectly. Would just like a more comfortable sofa!!!

Great location. My only complaint would be that the sofa is sooooo uncomfortable l!! Will use again if sofa replaced.

  • "A generally lovely property, the Amazon fire stick and tv and WiFi were fab."

Beds comfy. The front door was hard to close - the top Yale lock wasn’t catching, we would have had to slam the door to lock it (we didn’t do this, we locked it with the bottom key instead) - would recommend the lock is looked at. The sofa downstairs was soooo uncomfortable, you probably need to replace this. The house was a bit smaller than it looked in the pics, but no problem for a couple or v small family. Kitchen had everything we needed. We’d definitely stay again.

  • "The cottage is very tiny, and not suitable for a dog, as there is no outside space."

It is very nice for two people.

  • "Excellent central location and perfect for the two of us."

When you get to Dartmouth, follow the directions provided and not your SatNav as ours took us down the narrowest of streets and never to the correct location. It was really clean and provided us with all the facilities required for self catering. The welcome packs were a lovely touch. The main living area is quite small but was fine for 2 people but it might be a bit cramped for a small family. We would definitely use this cottage again.

  • "Good Central location."

WiFi could have been offered. No where to dry clothes if you needed to do a wash and bathroom very small. We were not aware of Regatta when we booked or that for 2 days we would be using the park and ride for parking this should have been highlighted and explained before booking not great.

Thank you for taking the time to leave some feedback on your stay. We apologise that you were not made aware that the Regatta was taking place during your stay. The Regatta typically takes place over the last bank holiday weekend in August. This has now been updated on the property description. As the property is compact, guests benefit from the use of the washer/dryer. We will look to get this clearly labelled for future bookings. The property comes with wifi, the router can be found in the lounge area. The laminated wifi code can also be found within the property. Coast & Country offers a 24 hour helpline should any issues occur during your stay. Furthermore, our office in Dartmouth is open for any queries. We hope to welcome you back to Dartmouth in the future. Property Owner

  • "Just returned home from this place and I have to say it was a fantastic place to stay."

It is in the perfect location for us right in the middle of town a stones throw from the river and right next to the market hall and many other shops. Perfect size for us and very comfortable for a couple or couple with 2 small children. The clever way they took the pictures make it look a bit bigger than it actually is but that wasn't a problem for us 2 as it was perfect really. We will definitely try to book the same accommodation when staying in Dartmouth again. My TOP TIP when staying in Dartmouth would be to book tables at the places you wish to eat months in advance as they are booked months ahead with very few if any walk ins available.
