The property

Nestled in the heart of Dartmouth rests this first-floor apartment, The Wardroom.

Set in a remarkable Grade II listed building, The Wardroom offers a marvellous base for a family or group of friends looking to explore the scenic coast and country of Devon.

Dust off your sandy toes as you enter into the apartment and head through to the sitting room, beautifully-appointed with a traditional yet stylish interior, boasting a striking feature fireplace alongside a Smart TV, inviting you to put your feet up on the sumptuous sofa and let the television do the entertaining after a day full of adventure.

Continue through to the amply-equipped kitchen, where the designated chef can rustle up some tasty treats for the group to enjoy gathered around the dining table, planning the thrilling itinerary for your holiday.

As the day draws to a close, indulge in a leisurely soak amongst the bubbles in the family bathroom, or if you prefer, make use of the overhead shower for a quick rinse, before retiring to one of the two double bedrooms to rest your head, one of which benefits from it's own television, offering an escape from the excitement of the main living space.

There are plenty of exciting sights and attractions right on your doorstep, including the maritime and industrial exhibitions on display at Dartmouth Museum, the 16th century Tudor fortress of Bayard's Cove Fort and the picturesque landscape of Royal Avenue Gardens, overlooking the harbour.

Board the ferry to the neighbouring village of Kingswear, where history buffs will be delighted by the heritage to be discovered at Kingswear Castle and the National Trust attraction of Coleton Fishacre House & Gardens, dating back to the 1920's.

Join the South West Coast Path and traverse the rugged coastline north to the fishing town of Brixham, soaking in the panoramic views across the water en route, where you can test your swing at the 18-hole golf course or indulge in a spot of traditional Devonshire afternoon tea at The Guardhouse Cafe, perfectly positioned on the clifftop.

Make unforgettable memories with a stay at The Wardroom.

About the location

Totnes 12 miles.

Dartmouth lies on the banks of the beautiful River Dart estuary in the popular and picturesque South Hams area of South Devon. Located within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and close to the coast, Dartmouth is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Devon. It offers a stunning waterfront, ancient narrow streets lined with boutique shops, restaurants and art galleries plus many local events such as the annual Dart Music Festival and the Port of Dartmouth Royal Regatta, along with the Dartmouth Food Festival held every October. There are many interesting cycling and walking routes around Dartmouth, including the South West Coast Path, the Dart Valley Trail and plenty of quiet country lanes. A trip on the Dartmouth Steam Railway through picturesque countryside to Paignton is a must, and so is a boat trip across to Kingswear and on to Brixham, a pretty little harbour town. For those seeking some beach activities, there is a wide choice in the South Hams area such as Blue Flag Award winner Blackpool Sands, and Slapton Sands, both extremely popular and just a stone's throw from Dartmouth. A relaxing location in South Devon.
