    Only down side was vacating the property at 9 was just to early when you have to clean up and strip the beds.

  • "Lovely flat and really good position near the sea."

    I would like to point out the bathrooms do need brighter lights in them. Also the large gas ring on cooker does not work. Cleaning could be a litter better.

  • "Only difficulty we had was the parking, as there was only one space and not any other close means of parking other than over night which was if you were out all day."

    It would be better if the owner could negotiate with the other tenants to get another space even if you paid daily for it ( providing it was reasonable ) as there were plenty of unused spaces, owned by fellow tenants. Everything else was very good

  • "We’ve stayed at this flat several times over the last few years because it is a lovely flat and in a good location."

    This time was quite different because we felt that I it has lost a lot of it’s relaxing ambience with the building of the sea wall, no longer able to see the lovely shimmering sea. The new walkway is also much higher with a seating area directly in front of the flat. We will book it again though, the kids love trains.

  • "We had a lovely holiday great apartment."

    Only negative was it could do with a couple of fans for when it's hot.The bedrooms also felt and smelt a little damp maybe a dehumidifier would help with that. We saw the cleaning lady when we left and she said we should have checked out at 9am and check in was 5PM.We explained that is not what we had in our emails and she said apparently you as a company should be contacting the clients to let them know.But we hadn't had anything from you.

  • "Absolutely brilliant!"

    This is by far the best holiday accommodation that we have stayed in. The apartment is vast with plenty of room even for a large family. The very spacious lounge dinner has lovely views across the famous Dawlish Railway to the Sea. Every detail has been carefully considered. It is well equipped with everything you could want for provided, even down to dishwasher and washing machine tablets. We would definitely return again.

  • "The outside windows need cleaning."

    The workmen erecting the new sea wall restarted on the 9th but we had no issues as the work was just about to start day and night depending on tide times. This may be an issue later as they had warned residents of noise during unsocial hours.

    The flat is really nice, great views over the sea with the sun glistening in the mornings. Really hope that the work being carried out by Network Rail doesn't spoil things too much.

  • "1/ We would have appreciated it if you had INFORMED us that Dawlish beach was to be inaccessible during our holiday."

    We subsequently found this out for ourselves. 2/ There was not a towel rail in the family bathroom and a chair to put clothes would have been handy. 3/ The blackout curtain in the double room is unnecessary as the sun doesn't get to the back. We had a very pleasant holiday.

  • "The key safe is very awkward - it ws rather difficult to obtain the key on arrival and replace as we left - we have used much easier ones on other properties which we have visited."

    The water temperature on the shower in the ensuite was not very warm, which was odd because the shower over the bath was much more efficient. Other than those minor points, the apartment was perfect for what we needed.

About the location


Teignmouth 3 miles; Exeter 16 miles; Exmouth 23.5

A charming seaside town set on the southern coast. The town of Dawlish offers all of the facilities for day-to-day living including a pleasant variety of shops, restaurants and cafés and a small cinema. Dawlish is famous for its Black Swans that live with other wildfowl on the Dawlish Water that runs through the central town park down to the sea, at night in the summer it is beautifully lit by strings of coloured lights. Dawlish comes with a wonderful, sandy beach with a crazy golf course also nearby, it is the perfect place for a family holiday. Up the coast is Dawlish Warren that can be reached by car or train or, for those energetic types, a walk along the sea wall. Further afield, Dawlish mainline station offers access to Exeter, Exmouth, Torquay, Paignton or even Plymouth, trains are plentiful.
