  • "My husband was working for a few Days locally so we Booked a stay with our dog."

We had a warm welcome from Paul and Maria who are Such kind and thoughtful hosts. I had some great walks with our dog and Paul recommended some great local pubs. If we’re in the area again, I would Definitely stay here again. Home From Home that’s how comfortable our stay was. Thank you

  • "Lovely little lodge, perfect for the 3 of us (2 humans and a dog)."

Porch is ideal for muddy and wet clothes. The patio is lovely and private and secure, also a sun trap. Great area for exploring and the local pubs serves delicious food

  • "The modern compact kitchen area is neatly contained at one end of the living area; the shower/toilet/hand basin area is also modern and compact."

The outdoor area(s) had something of the feel of a Spanish patio whilst they clearly were not but at different times of the day one would be in shade whilst the other was in the sun and vice versa. The 'lodge' is on the fringes of the village of Dolton (which has 5 different roads in and out) and is a delightful place with two pubs, one butchers shop, an electricals shop, an antiques shop and a Church Street Stores and Post office which in terms of layout resembles a rabbit warren and stocks pretty much everything you think it should.

  • "Brilliant hosts, could not have been better."

A brand new enterprise for them and they couldn't have got it better. No complaints from us, everything you need is there. High quality furnishings and fittings. Two very close pubs that sell excellent food. A very friendly community, locals will always say hello and happy to talk. Would recommend this retreat and village to everybody. Thankyou Paul and Maria.
