  • "Better than expected, grounds around cottage and the countryside."

    Sarah greeted us on arrival and showed us around, topped off by a complimentary cream tea! Sarah and John were great hosts, advantage of them living onsite. The Bull Pen was large considering it accommodates 2 people. We have two dogs and the perfect location with countryside and walks just a few steps away. Ideally located for the lovely town of Colyton and it shops, eating places and Fish & Chips and Seaton Electric Railway station. Easy reach of Lyme Bay, Charmouth, Seaton, Beer & Branscombe.   • "What a lovely place, we were met by John when we arrived,he very politely showed us around his wonderful place , loads of outside seating a huge field for games and dog walking, a great wildlife pond , bbq area, a massive glasshouse with seating as a sociable area, the cottage itself was very clean and tidy with everything you need and more, we will definitely recommend and rebook at sometime, thanks for sharing your wonderful spot."

  • "What a delightful cottage, in a beautiful peaceful setting, colourful flowers everywhere and lots of pretty garden areas to sit in The owners were very friendly and helpful and we were impressed with how well dogs were catered for with feeding bowls and exercise field."

  • "We had a lovely stay at the bull pen."

    Very good location for the main seaside towns. Lovely walks with the dog and a paddock on site for a quick walk with the dog. They left cream tea and milk on arrival which was a nice gesture. Only thing to point out to owner was the dvd player didn’t work. Other than that a lovely stay and would like to return out of season to use the cosy log burner.

    If you're looking for a place to recharge and relax this is it. Immaculate cottage crisp white bedding and if required cosy log burner. Hosts were very welcoming and the complimentary cream tea on arrival was a real treat. Will definitely be back.

Situated in East Devon, Colyton is a small town with its roots dating back to 700AD. Situated three miles from Seaton and six miles from Axmouth, Colyton has many links to its past with numerous historical buildings, such as St Andrew’s Church, and its winding lanes with independent shops. Good food and a warm welcome are on offer at the many inns. Colyton's tram station will provide you with an enjoyable ride alongside the River Axe to Seaton.
