"An excellent cottage with added benefits of being involved with the racing stables and watching the staff and horses, in an ideal pisiform touring most of Devon."
It was also very lovely to have a tour of the stables and watch them train the horses. Excellent facilities within the cottage which was spotless on our arrival.

"We had a fantastic stay at Kintyre Cottage."
Its unique location being part of a racing stable is a plus for any horse racing fan. The cottage itself was spotless and well equipped with lots of extra touches. A highlight was the tour of the stables and being able to walk the dog on the gallops in the afternoons and take in the view. The Jurassic coast is in easy reach. Would highly recommend.

"We had a very enjoyable stay, had a lovely tour of the Racing stables, the children loved it, it was a beautiful cottage home from home, everything we needed and in a lovely part of the country, we would certainly go again ."

"In over twenty years we must have stayed in at least thirty different cottages in Devon."
Kintyre stands out simply because it is so well sorted and Mrs Millman has thought of everything. Good size rooms, comfy beds with top quality sheets and towels, even a decent telly, a generous bath and all the little details just perfect. The cottage is right in the middle of the racing stables, so give some consideration for the hard working team of grooms and jockeys, even at 6.30am. Perfect for a base within easy reach of M5.

"We came down to Devon for a family wedding an stayed to complete the week."
Kintyre cottage is a comfortable and well equipped cottage. There was plenty of room to accomodate 6 adults and a golden retriever without us feeling crowded.
It was great to see the horses going off and returning from their daily excercise, but a shame that we couldn't take the tour due to current covid restrictions. Only negative comment was a leaky tap in the upstairs bathroom.
The area is lovely and has plenty of local options to eat or to visit. The two nearby pubs serve good food. Can also highly recommend the Five Bells at Clyst Hydon.
Great stay. Can highly recommend

"We had a lovely week at Kintyre cottage."
It’s a very well furnished cottage and we were very pleased with our stay there. Our toddler loved to see the horses passing by the cottage during the day and this fuelled his love of horses even more. Due to covid, the tours of the stables have been cancelled but I imagine they’ll be wonderful for adults and children alike once they’re back on. It’s worth noting the stair gate is at the bottom of the stairs - not a problem with our toddler so just to flag it - and the twin bed in the middle bedroom is a trundle bed rather than two twins. We’re about the buy a trundle for one of the children’s bedrooms so it was great to try before we bought! We really enjoyed our stay.

"Kintyre Cottage is positioned so that you can see the stable yard out of the rear windows."
You can see the horses on their way to the gallops out of the front kitchen window. The owners were very friendly and gave us a guided tour of the Stable Yard - which was extremely interesting. We were also taken down to the Gallops to see how the horses train.
The house has been furnished with high quality furnishing and fittings. The beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen well equipped.
A lovely place to stay and excellent for exploring the surrounding area.

Had a brilliant weekend away with the family. Beautiful clear skies, quiet and lovely country side. This time we had a dog with us and it was just great to use the gallop in the afternoon for walks. Lovely sea side places to visit not too far away.

"Devon had just recovered from storm Ciara and when we arrived we had storm Dennis."
However every day we went out Rain ,Wind or even shine. The cottage was everything you could want . Space, comfort, warmth and equipped with all you could want. The cottage is attached to a Horse Racing Stables and with that you get up close to horses, please take the tour if offered. You also get to walk your dog on the multi weather gallops after 13.00. Good base for days out to Dartmoor, Exmoor , Sidmouth, Exmouth, Lynton, Minehead.
Master bedroom huge, other 2 bedrooms can fit 2 single beds. Great bathroom upstairs along with toilet and shower down stairs. Enclosed drive so dogs cant escape.
Just to say as others have cottage was immaculate with quality facilities. Thanks again Louise.

"We had a lovely holiday at Kintyre cottage, very clean indeed spotless."
Good sized rooms with a beautiful bathroom and a very useful downstairs shower room. Everything you need is reasonably close, beaches shops and pubs/restaurants. Very peaceful location and also unusual with the horse stables behind. We would definitely recommend the cottage and also to do the stable tour, which was very interesting.

"Cottage was lovely we had a great week, 2 of our party had a tour of the yard which was interesting."
Only downside was no milk when we arrived so had to go out to supermarket before we could have a cuppa ( we left a pint in the fridge for the next guests). Also no bathrobes but it was warm enough to manage without.

"We all enjoyed Kintire cottage, however, the main bedroom was wonderful, however the second room only had one low wardrobe in, bedside table nowhere near bed, the third bedroom, had two lovely single beds and good chest of drawers, but no hanging space, in my opinion, really only suitable for children, we were two adult couples, 6 adults would have a problem."
The bathroom was fabulous, as was the downstairs shower room

"Kintyre Cottage proved a wonderful base for our Devon family holiday."
It is only 3 miles from the M5 and easy to find yet so remote and private. The cottage is really comfortable and we found the rooms to be larger than they appeared on the website, with great facilities. Our hosts Louise and Rod were very attentive and friendly without being intrusive in any way. Being horse-lovers ourselves it was a treat to have a tour of the yard with Louise and watch the racehorses go to the gallops across the road every morning. Two excellent pubs within walking distance (approx 0.5 mile) and lots of things to do within a short drive. Highly recommended!

"An immaculate cottage with top quality facilities and décor offering a very unique experience."
Attached to the training stables you really do get close up and personal with the working stable daily routine. If you take the free tour you'll be fascinated by the workings of the stables. The cottage itself has little extra touches with quality hand wash, soaps and miniature toiletries for guests use. The cottage was immaculate, beds, furnishings and kitchen were all high quality. If you want to get out and about it is so convenient, firstly finding the property is dead easy and then for location to the south coast of Devon resorts is only 30-40 mins away. Thank you for a lovely stay, we were there to meet up with family living in the area so not a 'normal holiday' but will definitely be back.

"We felt that this was a very comfortable and well equipped cottage."
It might be better not to allow dogs as there were rather a lot of restrictions. For a family with children the outside space was very small, gravelled and when two cars were parked very little space. I ended up with a puncture from some sharp gravel that spoilt our last day.
