The property
This period cottage is situated at the end of a terrace in the Devon village of Dunsford on the edge of Dartmoor.
With rural views over the church and woodland on the steep sides of the pretty Teign Valley, this is a welcoming cottage for families or friends to enjoy.
Step down into the hall and then into the kitchen with dining area, or head into the cosy sitting room with its wood burning stove and TV.
Located up steps from the hall is a sunroom, a good spot to sit on a sunny day and perhaps play board games with the French windows thrown open to a terrace.
Open tread stairs lead up to the two pretty bedrooms which share a bathroom.
Outside, at the back, is a sloping garden with lawn and terrace with furniture and those same relaxing rural views.
Dunsford is picturesque, a tranquil village to wander between thatched cottages, visit the village inn and buy essentials from the shop.
A nature reserve is full of daffodils in spring, lining the banks of the River Teign at Steps Bridge, from where you can take lovely walks through woodland, as far as National Trust Castle Drogo or the village of Drewsteignton if you feel energetic.
This is a great place for golfers with three courses within five miles, and with Exeter just eight miles away, you have all the city entertainment you could wish for.
Lewishill Cottage is a smashing base for relaxing walks and the bright city lights.
