This stylish three-storey house is situated in the heart of East Prawle.
What could be better than having your very own pub for a while?
This huge and comfortable house was once an 18th century inn and now creates fun and characterful accommodation for big sociable groups of extended family or friends.
Head on into the big sitting room with its traditional beams and squashy sofas around the wood burning stove, and nostalgic reminders of its former role with entertainment in the form of a pool table, table football and a fruit machine.
Step up to the dining room where you can enjoy raucous meals around the two tables, feasting on food prepared in the efficient and smart kitchen which is more than adequately equipped for feeding crowds.
The bonus of having your own pub is being able to stroll upstairs to sleep it off in the five smart and comfortable bedrooms on the first floor, two of which have sea views, and a fun big family bedroom with lots of beds on the top floor under the eaves which the children will love.
Outside is your very own private beer garden where you can run on the lawn, picnic at the tables and cook seafood on the barbecue.
If you miss the company of locals, wander out to The Pig’s Nose, the real village pub, a meal in the café or the proper village shop round the green.
The coast with secret sandy coves for seaside adventures is just a mile from The Providence Inn, or stay on the Coast Path for great walking, bird watching and super scenery.
This is stunning landscape to explore, both inland and on the coast.
You can walk to fashionable boaty East Portlemouth and catch the ferry across to Salcombe, one of the most beautifully sited little towns in the country.

East Prawle is a small village near Prawle Point, the most southerly tip of Devon near Salcombe, in the beautiful South Hams area. East Prawle has a charming, traditional village pub overlooking the green, a useful shop, and is renowned for its stunning coastline, popular with yachting enthusiasts. The sheltered South Hams peninsula is in 'deepest Devon', a pastoral landscape of flowering hedgerows and ancient sunken lanes, carved into by the richly wooded Avon and Dart Valleys. This Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is decorated with white, pink and ochre thatched cottages, picturesque fishing ports such as Dartmouth, and the beautiful seaside town of Salcombe. Much of the cliff top land has been acquired by the National Trust and is peppered with perfect picnic spots, a walker’s paradise. East Prawle is a wonderful base for uncovering the unspoilt beauty of Devon and the South Hams, all year round.
