The property
This Grade II listed, 300-year-old thatched cottage is situated in a row of four in East Prawle.
With a cosy atmosphere and plenty of character, this is welcoming accommodation in a lovely area.
Head through the front door and leave your coats and boots in the porch, then on into the snug sitting room with its traditional beams and warming electric fire.
The kitchen is a true country-style room where you can enjoy family meals around the table.
Steep old stairs take you up to the bedrooms where you can even catch a glimpse of the sea from the window of the double.
The lawn garden is peacefully located behind the cottage with a picnic table for alfresco meals, and there is a little paved area to the front, shared with the neighbour.
It’s just a short stroll out to the excellent village inn for a refreshing drink or tasty supper or the shop which offers a good café in the summer, and the old market town of Kingsbridge provides a range of eateries and various shops too.
If shopping appeals, catch the ferry across to Salcombe from East Portlemouth and you will discover tempting boutiques beside the waterfront.
The coastline around East Prawle is stunning, with beautiful beaches and coves to explore and the Coast Path to walk and admire cliff top views and sightings of a variety of birds.

This Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty is decorated with white, pink and ochre thatched cottages, picturesque fishing ports such as Dartmouth, and the beautiful seaside town of Salcombe. Much of the cliff top land has been acquired by the National Trust and is peppered with perfect picnic spots, a walker’s paradise.
