  • "We much enjoyed our stay at Easton Cottage."

The cake and milk on arrival was much appreciated !The cottage was very clean and comfortable and very well equipped with good attention to detail. The bed was so comfortable and the linen great quality. The garden was pretty and private with a great seating area. It was a cosy cottage in a quiet area but with easy access to amenities in Chagford and onto Dartmoor.

  • "Excellent Garden, great kitchen!"

lovely bouquet of wild flowers and a lovely lemon cake to welcome us! Very nice neighbours! It was a surprise that the bedrooms were not separate, so you had to go trough the first to get to the second one. And the bathroom was ensuite in the first bedroom. We were with the two of us so no problem but it is good to know. We enjoyed our stay in Easton Cottage!

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback, we welcome your positive comments! We do ensure that the description of the bedrooms is made clear on the listing and this has not been raised in previous feedback. We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed your stay at Easton Cottage Property Owner

We thoroughly enjoyed our time spent there and we were sad to leave. We will definitely return, hopefully later in the year. Special thanks to Maddy for supplying the special order of milk and providing us with the yummy Lemon Drizzle cake and starter log kit

A lovely garden too, especially for our dog Bess. There is a great circular walk which included field, wood, two footbridges crossing river, tracks and paths.

  • "We have had the most wonderful time at Easton cottage."

From the moment we arrived we felt like we were home. The cottage is so comfy and cosy, amazing kitchen with every gadget you can think of. The beds are so comfortable, we slept so well. The bath is amazing. We didn't miss a shower at all, a real treat to have a bath every day and just relax. The garden is stunning and is huge, it's completing dog friendly and is great to shoot and watch the sun rise. So many wonderful walks from the cottage, Chagford is such a friendly place wroth lots of good pubs. We are really sad to leave, but absolutely will be back again. Wonderful Easton cottage, until next time.

  • "Great cottage."

Brilliant facilities and kitchen was incredibly well off for all your needs. The shower head and curtain was missing and an issue of you need to wash long hair etc. it did say on details a hand shower was provided but it was not there! Obviously an issue with it as the valve on the bath for the hand held shower was capped off!! Otherwise a great cottage.

Thank you very much for your feedback. The owner has decided to remove the shower head etc and intends to replace with a walk-in shower for ease of use! Property Owner

  • "This property is Beautiful, it has all the charm and character of a chocolate box cottage."

The garden is lovely, secure and safe for the dog and so nice to relax in and watch the stars in the evening. The cottage is in an idyllic position for visiting the moors with Fingle Bridge a short walk away. The cottage is spotlessly clean with plenty of luxuries. We had a wonderful holiday.

  • "We rented the cottage for a short break in Devon."

It is ideally located for visiting all areas of Devon and also into parts of Cornwall. Very quiet location, with excellent parking and a lovely large garden with 2 seating areas/patios (one covered) for those lazy times outdoors and outdoor dining. The cottage was spotlessly clean and extremely well furnished and equipped with everything we needed, a real home from home. Madeline the Housekeeper was extremely helpful with her communications and it was a nice touch to find a welcome gift of toffee cake waiting for us. We highly recommend this property and we would definitely consider booking again on a visit to Devon

  • "Easton Cottage was an absolutely beautiful place to stay."

It was in a quiet spot but still near enough to several larger villages with more amenities. It was superbly decorated and furnished and very comfortable. There wasn't anything that my husband or I needed that wasn't provided. It was immaculately clean and tidy when we arrived. We were met by Maddy who was both friendly and very helpful showing us round. The only reason I didn't give it a five star rating was that the bathroom only had a bath with a hand held shower fitting. My husband and I both prefer to shower and this was a problem. This would also be an issue for anyone with any mobility problems. I don't how difficult it would be to fit a free standing shower as this is a very old cottage but feel that it would enhance the experience. Would I like to go back again, yes I would! It would be heaven for a Winter break when you could light the open fire and just relax.

  • "Thoroughly enjoyed our week in this beautiful cottage."

Lots of space indoors and outdoors, and the cottage is equipped to meet every need. Fabulous walks right on the doorstep, the locals told us to ignore the National Trust - no public access sign and this track takes you down to the woods or the deer park glorious riverside walks! You can even get to Fingle Bridge (if you are fit enough) which we thoroughly recommend (we drove though!).

  • "It has been a absolute pleasure being the first guests in Easton Cottage."

We have had a very relaxing break. We were lucky enough to have some nice weather to be able to sit in your beautiful garden - our dog thoroughly loved exploring. The cottage has been beautifully decorated and the bed sheets were lovely to sleep in. Lots of equipment and supplies which we really appreciated. We will definitely be returning as we loved both the cottage and all the nearby walks with our dog Nala.
