  • "The property is absolutely gorgeous and very comfortable."

We did have first and second day problems with the internet and trying to close the bifold doors, but a quick call to CountryCottages and we had someone out to us within the hour. Very impressive service. A note about the directions, which were unnecessarily tricky. It would be more straightforward to state that after leaving Kingsbridge, with Tesco on your left, take the right at the roundabout, go up West Alvington Hill(A381), past the Ring of Bells PH, and shortly after take a left turn onto Vicarage Lane, and follow this country lane, keeping to the right and you arrive in Easton and the Farmhouse.

  • "Our extended family and 2 dogs stayed at Lower Easton Farm House during the half term break."

It was such an amazing place to stay. The house itself is of an extremely high standard, clean, comfortable and really cosy. There has been no expense spared with the little things such as the kitchen utensils and it really was home from home. The info booklet was really informative and suggested days out, the best places for food and things to do. Amazing place and wouldn't hesitate to return again - Thank you

  • "We had a fantastic stay at Lower Easton Farmhouse."

The house is beautiful, spacious, clean and comfortable. The facilities were great. We loved exploring the local area and the property provided a great base for us to do this. I highly recommend this beautiful holiday home and we will most certainly return.

  • "The postcode Coast and Country gave us for the property is incorrect, which meant we ended up down a very narrow lane outside an unrelated property."

Using Google we were able to find the correct postcode and make our way to the property (which was nearby). There were two minor plumbing issues which were very swiftly resolved and the customer service was outstanding. The cottage is absolutely gorgeous and has excellent facilities.

  • "What a great house!"

It was a real fantasy getaway for ourselves and the family and even though we had to go in two groups due to the 'rule of 6' it provided some excellent quality time for us all. It is a perfect tucked away location but with everything that this beautiful part of Devon has to offer within a 15 to 30 minute drive. Just doing nothing is also an option and six people are easily lost in all the separate comfortable reception rooms and outdoor space or alternatively everyone can come together for some proper family time in the beautifully set out kitchen or large dining room. One word of caution, the plants in the small ornamental pond in the back garden could do with some attention to make it more obvious that there is actually a pond in there. It should also be noted that the stairs to the top floor rooms need some mastering and a stairgate would be useful to keep any dogs downstairs.

  • "The house is beautiful and luxurious, and even though the photographs try to portray this, they don't 100% succeed !"

We had a lovely stay with a party of 9 plus 1 little Bichon Frise and the space and comfort was much more than we had imagined.

  • "Overall we were very satisfied with the accommodation and facilities."

There were one or two minor niggles: no toilet roll holder in the main en suite bathroom and the gas cylinder regulator for the barbecue didn't work. The latter was fixed very promptly by the handyman who had called to oversee the delivery of a new tumble dryer. We enjoyed using an Aga for the first time although it stopped working on our last evening - hopefully that was fixed in time for the next visitors. We were a little disappointed not to have a welcome pack for our arrival; nine people arriving after various lengthy journeys would have appreciated a little something on our arrival, e.g. teabags or coffee plus some milk at least. There was milk in the fridge but it was out of date and probably left by the previous visitors.

Thank you for your feedback and I hope the minor niggles didn’t spoil your stay. I am pleased our property manager was able to respond to the BBQ problem so quickly. We have noted your comment re toilet roll holder in the en-suite and every bathroom now has one. Regarding the aga - this had been switched off at the wall by one of the guests by mistake. We can see how this could easily happen and we have now clearly labelled the switch so that guests don’t touch it. The cleaners are briefed to clear out the fridge between guests and this bottle of milk must have slipped through the net on this occasion. As we don’t live nearby we haven’t been able to offer a welcome pack, but Coast and Country have recently introduced this and hopefully it will help people settle in after their journey We are continually striving to improve the house for the benefit of our guests and ourselves so all feedback is most welcome.
