  • "Wonderful house with huge clean space inside."

Close to the beaches and the centre of the town. Up and down hills, but so is everywhere in Torquay! One of the very best.

  • "Fantastic week at Fonthill."

The property is ideally located within easy walking distance of Torquay. The walk back uphill is more challenging but bus fares capped at £2.00 and very frequent make it easy to leave your car parked up. The property was clean and well equipped, the property owner was very obliging. A minor criticism would be the absence of a welcome folder containing details of local facilities and recommendations etc. but this in no way impaired our enjoyment of the week. This property would definitely be our number one choice should we be back in Torquay.

  • "Lovely property, the owner met us when we arrived and offered to show us around the property to explain how things worked then told us we could phone if we had any problems then left us to enjoy our holiday."

Everything was very easy to use the kitchen was full and had everything we needed and the owner had even left us a pint of milk and tea bags to start us off which we were very grateful for. The house was very clean with big bedrooms and plenty of storage, the bathrooms were of a large size aswell. I felt the garden was very secure so I didn't have to worry about our dog escaping so he had a great time coming and going as he wanted. Everything was very easy from starting our holiday to leaving. The location is great, we was a 2 min walk from a bus stop to town or 5 mins from a shop. I would highly recommend this property.

  • "The cottage was amazing."

It had everything, you needed. It was a pleasure to come back to at the end of the day. It was very dog friendly which made our stay perfect. It had all the facilities you would need and everything was all good quality. We would definitely recommend the cottage and would come back again.

  • "A lovely house in a quiet residential area but close to amenities and bus route."

Off road secure parking always a bonus. Small but adequate garden garden furniture would be desirable for outside seating on warm summer evenings!

  • "Lovely accommodation not far from town."

Spacious and everything you could possibly need for your stay. Good bus links to other main towns. Would definitely recommend.

  • "The property was fabulous, so comfortable, spacious, clean with every convenience you needed."

The owners were so welcoming & helpful. Location was great with a bus stop at the end of the road so that although it was a fairly long hill back you could walk down into town then get the bus back at the end of a full day exploring the area. Property was ideally situated for lots of pretty places to visit.

  • "Wow what an amazing Cottage."

Everything you could want and more. We took my 86 year old mum for a few days break and it was perfect! Great quiet location too. We would certainly holiday here again.

  • "Lovely location, we enjoyed our holiday there."

The house was very spacious & warm. That said - an information pack for use of oven/cooker & microwave appliances would have been helpful. We found the mattress in the on suite room uncomfortable /lumpy. We would go back there again.

  • "In a good location and we’ll appointed."

A nice quiet neighbourhood away from the huddle and bustle when you want to chill. Could not wish for much more.

  • "The house was a lovely secure base to explore Torquay & surrounding areas."

A car was useful as the house is located at the top of a long and steep road from the town centre, however there are bus stops very close by. The house is tucked away behind the Fonthill apartments and everything leading off the driveway was very quiet and well maintained.

  • "We had a fab weeks stay everything was lovely and clean, and everything that you need to enjoy your holiday."

The house is ideally located with only a 15min walk to Torquay harbour, which is great that we didn't have to drive everywhere. The garden was a sun trap and we enjoyed soaking up the sun in the afternoon. Would highly recommend the Lighthouse bar and cafe on Torquay Harbour it is on the same side as the amusement arcade, they are such a friendly bar and great with my boys, they are also dog friendly and even have treats for the dogs.
