"Very happy with this property for our stay."
Plenty of room for 5 of us and a dog. Enough parking for 2 cars. Very well equipped property, wasn't lacking on anything. Great communication from the owner and they even took my shopping in for me as it was delivered early!
Only a couple of things to improve....the saucepans could do with replacing (i assime theyve been well used over the summer), we got the recycling mixed in the wrong boxes so it wasn't emptied so clearer instructions would be good. We knew there was only 1 shower (in the en suite) but maybe the option of a shower attachment in the main bathroom would be beneficial? The inlaws couldn't use their bedroom until we'd finished showering.
Overall the house is great, its in a perfect location for walking down the harbour and centre and for exploring further afield.

"Excellent location to stay in Torquay."
Close enough for the short walk into Torquay and a few minutes walk up the road is the Kents pub, a co-op, at least 3 cafes, barbers, beauty salon and a Londis.
Very spacious accommodation, there were only 4 of us but would be more than adequate for 6.
The kitchen was equipped with everything a family needs. There was plenty of bedroom storage so no need live out of the suitcases.
Parking at the accommodation fits a large vehicle but getting in is very tight and look out for the low wall hidden by the bushes.
I parked my car and left it there for the week as the bus stops were almost outside the house and £13 family ticket for each day took us everywhere we wanted to visit, It's not worth paying for parking and petrol when bus buses were so frequent. At least 4 buses an hour.

Everything was ready when we arrived , we were welcomed by the owner . A chilled wine was a nice touch after a long drive. We highly recommend staying there.

"Very clean, comfortable accommodation within a few minutes walking distance to Wellswood offering selection of shops and restaurants."
Our cocker spaniel enjoyed the enclosed garden. We were able to walk to Torquay harbour and town from Fonthill but quite a steep climb back.

"We had a very comfortable week in Fonthill cottage."
Owner/family members very friendly and communicated well without being intrusive. The cottage was well equipped and had quality furnishings. The garden was small but very secure for our little Cavelier spaniel to wander in unsupervised. Torquay is very hilly but it is a nice downhill 20minute walk to the Harbour. There is a regular bus service from end of the road to the town. This is by no means a criticism as we had a wonderful week but we would have liked to have seen a visitors info pack and also the main bathroom has a great jacuzzi but no shower which would have been helpful.

"Fantastic week at Fonthill."
The property is ideally located within easy walking distance of Torquay. The walk back uphill is more challenging but bus fares capped at £2.00 and very frequent make it easy to leave your car parked up.
The property was clean and well equipped, the property owner was very obliging. A minor criticism would be the absence of a welcome folder containing details of local facilities and recommendations etc. but this in no way impaired our enjoyment of the week.
This property would definitely be our number one choice should we be back in Torquay.

"Lovely property, the owner met us when we arrived and offered to show us around the property to explain how things worked then told us we could phone if we had any problems then left us to enjoy our holiday."
Everything was very easy to use the kitchen was full and had everything we needed and the owner had even left us a pint of milk and tea bags to start us off which we were very grateful for.
The house was very clean with big bedrooms and plenty of storage, the bathrooms were of a large size aswell.
I felt the garden was very secure so I didn't have to worry about our dog escaping so he had a great time coming and going as he wanted.
Everything was very easy from starting our holiday to leaving.
The location is great, we was a 2 min walk from a bus stop to town or 5 mins from a shop.
I would highly recommend this property.

"The cottage was amazing."
It had everything, you needed. It was a pleasure to come back to at the end of the day. It was very dog friendly which made our stay perfect. It had all the facilities you would need and everything was all good quality. We would definitely recommend the cottage and would come back again.

The owners were so welcoming & helpful. Location was great with a bus stop at the end of the road so that although it was a fairly long hill back you could walk down into town then get the bus back at the end of a full day exploring the area. Property was ideally situated for lots of pretty places to visit.

A car was useful as the house is located at the top of a long and steep road from the town centre, however there are bus stops very close by.
The house is tucked away behind the Fonthill apartments and everything leading off the driveway was very quiet and well maintained.

"We had a fab weeks stay everything was lovely and clean, and everything that you need to enjoy your holiday."
The house is ideally located with only a 15min walk to Torquay harbour, which is great that we didn't have to drive everywhere.
The garden was a sun trap and we enjoyed soaking up the sun in the afternoon.
Would highly recommend the Lighthouse bar and cafe on Torquay Harbour it is on the same side as the amusement arcade, they are such a friendly bar and great with my boys, they are also dog friendly and even have treats for the dogs.
