The Old Farm Barns

A group of four fantastic, barn conversions set amidst rolling hills and ambling country lanes on Higher Elstone Farm, 2 miles outside of Chulmleigh in Devon. These characterful cottages have been converted and brilliantly furnished with reclaimed wood, slate and brick with hand-crafted bespoke kitchens, combining the traditional with the modern in a stunning way. These cottages are some of our most stylish, homely cottages, beautifully furnished throughout with contemporary furniture, open plan living areas, well-equipped kitchens, Smart TVs and velux windows. All of the cottages are bright and fresh being filled with natural light, the bedrooms are bold with stylish decor and crisp white linen. The bathrooms are stylish and contemporary. The Old Farm Barns come with a spacious outdoor communal area complete with ample seating and dreamy views of the countryside beyond. The town of Chulmleigh is delightful and old-fashioned, baring cobbled streets, thatched buildings and some charming traditional pubs to sit and enjoy. Fishing is a popular pastime with plenty of opportunities nearby, the town also comes in between the Exmoor and Dartmoor National Parks, both well worth a visit whilst you're in the area. Barnstaple is a gem in the county of Devon, it offers superb beaches, with a charming market as well as shops, restaurants and bars, most certainly worth a visit. A group of beautiful cottages in a picture-postcard location.

Chulmleigh is a delightful village in the heart of Devon, with a real, old-fashioned community spirit. With its narrow cobbled lanes, rows of thatched cottages, courtyards and welcoming inns it is a pleasure to wander here in this relatively unspoilt part of Devon. It is a year-round destination, with summer gardens and winter walks to enjoy. The 180-mile Tarka Trail starts in nearby Eggesford Forest, which is on the banks of the River Taw, and follows a pretty route through woodland, and offers some spectacular moorland views. Chulmleigh is particularly good for birdwatchers, who can spot kingfishers, cormorants, goosanders and dippers along the quiet riverbanks. Fishing is a popular sport in the area, with salmon and sea trout in the rivers and coarse fishing on Catham Lakes and Huntacott Water. Chulmleigh is midway between the national parks of Dartmoor and Exmoor and within easy reach of the rugged north Devon coast.
