Lovely and quiet location, close enough to get wherever you need to go. Great garden! Facilities were great, couldn’t ask for more to be honest! It had everything you need for a stay and Becky was just lovely, guiding us by phone when we arrived and leaving some welcome treats. We would often sit on the bench in the garden and look out for deer, squirrel or the elusive owls. There is a lot to see and do in the area but it is such a peaceful haven we enjoyed the days in just as much. Absolutely the nicest place we have stayed in and would happily return.

Immaculately presented with all fixtures and fittings of a high quality. I have never been in such a well presented holiday home. The owner, Becky, has thought of and provided everything including treats for the dog in the welcome pack and towels to dry them off in the porch. A personal welcome after we arrived ensured we had everything thing we needed and she even provided a tub of spread for our bread as I had left ours in the fridge. Looking forward to a return visit next year. Thank you Becky.

  • "This is an excellent holiday cottage in a very beautiful yet remote position on the edge of Exmoor."

It has a lovely, secluded garden with beautiful views in every direction. It will not suit everyone as it takes at least 10 minutes to get to any main road through narrow country lanes. The nearest shop (1.6 miles) is open in the mornings only and there is no pub, contrary to Sykes listening. The friendly and helpful owners live close by. With private arrangement they allowed us to recharge our electric car from their electric supply. This greatly enhanced travelling on Exmoor where there are few charging points. The cottage is not easy to find after a long and tiring journey. We suggest the directions be revised. Message to Sykes: please change the formatting of your emails. Most people will use their smart phones to read emails from you, especially when they’re on holiday and your formatting is unnecessary fussy. Putting your message in a box does not help readability, just use simple email text.

  • "We had an exceptional Christmas staying at Elsworthy Farm cottage."

Becky was an incredible host: she met us and guided us back to the cottage as we arrived in the dark; the cottage was beautifully decorated for Christmas; we had a generous welcome hamper on arrival; and we always had plenty of wood to enjoy the rainy days spent by the fire. The kitchen was also perfectly equipped, enabling us to cook a full roast for Christmas lunch! We have also quite literally never stayed somewhere as clean as Elsworthy Farm Cottage. There wasn’t a speck of dust or cobweb in sight! The valley the cottage sits in is very picturesque, with an outlook from the property of the sheep grazing in the nearby fields and, if you’re lucky, wild deer wandering the paddocks. It was only a 15 minute drive into Minehead whenever anything was needed from the supermarket; and the beautiful villages of Dunster and Porlock was also only a short drive away. We couldn’t have been happier to spend Christmas here and hope to come back soon.
