  • "The bungalow was very well equipped and nicely set out with great views."

Thnly problem we had was that the boiler had broken down and was due to be repaired on Monday. The plumber called and was unable to fix it with water driping out the bottom. Thus for the whole week we did not have any hotwater or central heating with an 8 week old baby, luckerly we did not need the heating our only hot water was the electric shower or kettle. The TV is only internet so no live TV like freeview. The other problem is the driveway it is so steep that you lift your rear wheel off the ground this happerned to both our cars and you have to be very careful when backing in. The property has a garden hose, which I would have liked to use when I turned it on it leaked from many holes so the car and the patio did not get a wash down. We enjoyed our holiday in Dawlish just these few problems could have made it even better.

Nice comfortable house with lovely views, enjoyed our holiday there ,love the area ,only things didn't like about the house was the garden could have done with a good tidy up and the driveway was very challenging

Thank you for taking the time to complete your feedback. We are glad you enjoyed your holiday and the area. We have been to the property and given the garden a good tidy. We have also been able to arrange for a gardener to now attend on a regular basis. We are sorry to hear that you found the driveway a challenge. It does state the following on the website, to make guests aware - The driveway is approached via a steep hill, please take care. We do hope that this won't deter you from returning to the property, as we would love to welcome you back in the future. Property Owner

  • "The house is lovely and the beds very comfortable."

Sadly the smell of wet dog permeated the whole house for a few days. There was food left in some of the drawers in the kitchen. The fixtures were fine but the main bedroom ceiling light didn't work and we hade to rely on lamps, the dining room ceiling light stopped working 3 days in but we had access to spares so were able to resolve this. The driveway is entertaining for longer vehicles. The views were amazing, and Dawlish is a beautiful little town.

  • "You left us stranded perched on a hill without a working tv set."

The tv aerial was broken therefore it could not be tuned! There were cracked in walls all over the house and it all looked fragile. We contacted you on arrival and throughout our stay and was promised that it would be looked into. Nothing happened. Customer service is useless! Anthony Spiteri

  • "We had a very enjoyable stay in Dawlish in a very nice property."

The house is in a quiet location with a fantastic view and has easy (but steep!) access to the town centre. The house had (almost) everything we needed, although there were some missing kitchen items (e.g. wooden spoons and a measuring jug). Also, a welcome pack would have been helpful, e.g. to outline the recycling arrangements. The only negative was that the pre-arrival cleaning was not of a high enough standard - there was mouldy food and meat packaging in the kitchen bins, and the hoovering hadn't been done (we had to unblock the hoover to use it). Overall though, we would be happy to recommend this property.

Thank you for taking the time to complete your feedback which we have discussed with the property owner. As this is their first year they are really grateful for your comments, all of which have been taken on board. A wooden spoon and jug have been purchased. the cleanliness issues have been flagged with the housekeeping team, sincere apologies that the cleanliness was not up to standard for your visit. A welcome pack is on the to-do-list for the future. Despite the points raised we are delighted you enjoyed your stay at 3 Meldrum Close. Property Owner
