  • "The property was listed as having an enclosed garden which is of paramount importance to us when booking a holiday as we have a dog, however there was no enclosed garden."

Thank you for your feedback. I do not know who stated there is an enclosed garden, because I make it very clear the gardens are not enclosed, except for the 8 acres we are sitting in being partly fenced. I am very sorry if you were misled by Sykes. Property Owner

  • "We had 3 days without Wi Fi and since we did not have a phone signal we were not able to use 4G either."

  • "It was a lovely place to stay, particularly the decor and the gardens."

Nice location, very peaceful but not too far from some nice pubs and the coast. The owners were very nice and helpful. However we hadn’t realised that it wasn’t a freestanding cottage but more like a flat in a building - and there was a bit of noise from upstairs. Plus it was a bit damp - not helped by the weather but that can’t be unusual. A better extractor fan in the bathrooms and a proper drying room would have been good.

  • "Yes, the holiday much what we expected, Now we do expect you to do the honourable thing and return the 15 prt cent VAT, and I was not happy about you taking the balance payment from my account without my permission, so a refund to my account would be acceptable."

The cottage was comfortable and had many little touches that made our stay that bit more special. Great location for exploring Devon, Dorset and Somerset.

Including the local walks and other directions. The property was clean and well thought out, set in beautiful grounds. If you are looking for a relaxing stay in the countryside, this was perfect.

  • "What a hidden little gem Brabazon is."

We had a fabulous week away here, a great place to explore Devon and Dorset from. Kerstin and Sean were so thoughtful and accommodating throughout and really welcoming. Would not hesitate to recommend. Just a note...the roads to the cottage are not for the faint hearted but having driven them a couple of times, you do get used to them. Thanks for a great week!

The lovely market town of Axminster has been made famous by the well-known organic shop and canteen in the area, which were introduced by TV presenter Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall. Nestled in outstanding peaceful countryside, Axminster is certainly a place to relax and unwind. Famous for its carpets, which are often likened to Turkish examples, it is one of Devon’s prettiest smaller towns. Situated on the River Axe and within easy reach of both the West Dorset and East Devon Jurassic Coast, Axminster has many attractions, including plenty of privately owned shops, a weekly market and excellent old inns, with one dating back 100 years with its own resident ghost! With beautiful views on offer and the National Trust properties of Shute Barton and Loughwood Meeting House close by, Axminster is a must to visit.
