  • "The perfect place to stay for a break."

Very quiet and relaxing, we loved to sit in the conservatory and watch the birds feeding. Everything provided that anyone anyone could possibly want. Beautiful bathroom and also a very comfy bed. We had a lovely week there exploring the local area.

Hi Paul - Thank You for your Very Complimentary Feedback on your recent stay with us at Little Willesleigh, it's very much Appreciated. • "I booked the accommodation after reading very positive reviews."

When we arrived the first impression was very good but when we opened the doors the smell in the house was not so good. We opened all the doors and windows for fresh air( only a little window in the bathroom was open already). We received lovely scones and tea as a welcome pack. The rooms were very clean, small kitchen, bathroom has a great shower, little heater for colder time, nice towels changed in the middle of our stay and also additional electric towels rail. There was everything what we needed. But although all the windows we kept open whole night the unpleasant smell was still in the house. Next day the owner came to say hello and asked if everything is okay. We mentioned about the strange smell, she didn't smell it but kindly provided additional odour neutraliser for our request( there were already 6 or 7 in the house). They helped a little but we had to keep all windows open at all the time during our stay(cold wet week). We found that the musty smell comes from the kitchen's cabinets and the wooden one in the living room. They really need the owner attention. Also, the patio deck needs a deep wash, very slippery even when dry. And one more thing, the sofa in the living room is very uncomfortable to sit on ,we called that sliding sofa and were sitting in the conservatory. We would not wish to stay at Little Willesleigh again.

Hi Wioletta - As you state after reading the other 71 Very Positive reviews yours seem to contradict the other 71, so forgive us if we side with the other 71 Previous Guests. There is One Air Wick Air Freshner in the Small Hallway and one Air Wick Plugin in the Bedroom, so your 6 or 7 just don't add up ! ( not counting the extra 3 you asked for ) The Patio Deck does get a little Slippery when Wet, but as it rained every day of your stay, there's no much we can do about the Weather I'm afraid... You were informed by Sykes a few days before your Arrival, after initially Booking an Infant along with 2 Adults in your Party, Little Willesleigh Cannot Accommodate an Infant due to our Insurance Policy only covering a Maximum of 2 Persons - Best Wishes Kym & Brady. Although attached to the owner’s bungalow it is completely self contained and private. It has its own conservatory which overlooks its own private garden. We stayed in mid March when evenings could be quite chilly and we’re grateful for the central heating which made evenings very cosy throughout. It also has a brilliant, easily controllable, walk in shower! All in all a lovely holiday let which we thoroughly enjoyed returning too after our days’ adventures.

Comfortable bed,big tv.lovely to watch the birds in the garden. Nice to be offered a change of towels. Issues for us : poor wifi ,constantly disengaged. please note wifi is hard wired to owners but has wifi extender plug in bedroom. This flickered constantly causing connection to drop. Had to use own data. Male owner said there was no problems & thought my phone & netbook was too old. Would have liked more than 4 knives & forks etc so didn't need to wash up frequently. Note asked to use less water ! Kitchen quite small & cluttered to cook elaborate meals. Settee's in lounge could do with replacing ,tendancy to dip in the middle affecting comfort. Overall we enjoyed our stay & would return if issues were addressed.

Apologises if you found our Cottage did not meet your Expectations...we are always looking of ways to improve our guests experience and satisfaction. To answer your Concerns...The Wi-fi is a New Rural Community Airband set up direct to our Property so we don't share the Bandwith with Neighbouring Properties but drop out is Inevitable in our rural location I'm afraid. The Cottage only accommodates 2 Guests so 4 of everything in the kitchen seems reasonable, but you only had to ask for anything extra you required as we are less than 20mts away, you didn't mention any of the above when we changed your Towels. We weren't able to reply to the texts you sent from the Cottage everytime. There's a Sign in the Bathroom " Please save Water " which was supplied by the Local Council to Rental Properties in the Area, we support what ever we can to look after our Environment, thats why we supply all necessary bins and bags to recycle as much as we can, which you did not feel the need to make use of. The Matching Rustic Look Leather Couches are 2 Seater with 2 Cushions on each, so cant see the need to sit in the Middle...but Noted. We can't post photo's on our reply, but its the first time in 7 years we've had Guests clean their Black Shoes with Black Shoe Polish using two of our White Bathroom Face Cloths! Pics Available! Cloths provided under the Kitchen sink. Hope our Future Guests read all the reviews and form they're own Opinions. Property Owner

  • "The owners thought of every detail to make a stay here comfortable and enjoyable."

They live in an adjoining property and create the right balance of friendliness/being available but also allowing privacy. The conservatory and the garden were especially welcome, beautifully cared for and the bird life marvellous. This is a fairly new venture for the owners. They deserve to make it a great success and I feel sure it will be. Many thanks to Kym in particular.
