Probably the cleanest and most comfortable holiday rental I’ve ever stayed in. Proximity to great walks, sea, eateries and pubs was a great plus. Thanks very much for your help and guidance throughout the stay.

  • "Olive Tree Cottage is a beautifully well kept warm cosy cottage."

It is by far the best holiday cottage we have stayed in. The beds were so comfortable. Just what you need for a good nights sleep. Very well equipped with all that you would need and the welcome pack was much appreciated on arrival. The cottage had that homely feeling the minute we opened the door. A good location for visiting costal areas like Budleigh Salterton, Sidmouth, Topsham and many more interesting places. It was very nice to meet Hilary (the owner) who took the time to check all was well with us both. Thank you for a lovely week in your cottage despite the rain and hope to return next year.

The information left for us really helped us find our way around. We cannot recommend this cottage highly enough. We will certainly return. A fantastic holiday for us both.

A thoughtful welcome pack eased us in and Great communication with owner Hilary ensured we had no problems. I have no reservations when recommending the cottage to others and have already suggested its use to my local family for visitors for future gatherings at the Nightjar restaurant next door. Thank you

  • "This was our second stay in Olive Tree Cottage which speaks for itself."

We love the house - it is clean, very comfortable and peaceful. It has been thoughtfully equipped and the goody basket on arrival is another welcoming touch. We find the location extremely convenient as it is only a short trip to the beautiful coastal areas like Sidmouth, Budleigh Salterton and Ladram Bay. Exeter is a short car ride and Crealy theme park is practically on the doorstep for all those Sooty and Sweep fans out there!

The cottage was immaculate and the garden, whilst small, has plenty of room to sit and relax or enjoy dining outside. It is in a great location - just 20 minutes to the park and ride for Exeter city centre and 20 minutes to the coast. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to reurn.

Everywhere was completely spotless, we can honestly say this was the cleanest place we have ever holidayed! The location could not be more perfect with Greendale farm shop, Crealy theme park and Exeter on the doorstep to mention just a few of the fabulous places we visited. In addition, we would highly recommend the Nightjar Inn next door, their roast dinner offerings on the Sunday were sublime. Thank you for making our family holiday to beautiful Aylesbeare so special, we would return in a heartbeat.

Excellent location for the south coast - Exmouth, Sidmouth, Seaton, Lyme Regis, Dawlish. Farm shop nearby and supermarket also within easy reach. Lovely home from home - clean and modern with all equipment you could need ! Pretty little garden - very peaceful. Nightjar pub well worth a visit , right next door !!! As mentioned by others upstairs WCs are narrower than you'd expect if you are of ample proportions :-) Downstairs WC much better. We will definitely be back soon.

  • "Fantastic property in an excellent location, central to every where."

A extremely clean and comfortable property with a lovely owner and a very generous welcome pack. One of the best we've stayed in. If I had to pick one fault....it would be the very tight toilet space in the upstairs bathroom. Extremely awkward!! Apart from that, everything was perfect.

Thank you for your feedback. We are looking to re-design the main bathroom giving more room for the toilet. So glad you enjoyed your stay. Property Owner

  • "Lovely modern cottage, immaculately clean, well furnished, with a great kitchen/diner and very comfortable."

The bed is super comfy and we slept very well. The central heating was excellent for the exceptionally cold weather, so the cottage was lovely and warm. The wood burner in the lovely lounge was a wonderful feature and it always started first time. The owner was very nice and welcoming, and made a point of visiting us to ensure that we were comfortable. Aylesbeare is a lovely peaceful village, with walks from the cottage. The Nightjar Inn next door is a real benefit, being very quiet and we didn't hear any noise. It has a great atmosphere and serves very good food and drinks. We had an excellent Sunday Lunch. One of the best holiday cottages we've stayed in and will definitely return . Thank you for a great holiday.

We loved our stay there. The location is excellent - on average 20 - 30 minutes to visit everywhere we wanted to go. The Night Jar Inn was excellent too. If there was one negative it was the length of time the fan took to go off after using the oven. It was very noisy!

Day trip highlights included Sidmouth beach, Killerton House, Exeter centre and Crealy theme park. We would recommend exploring Aylesbeare too - a beautiful church, cute Free Little Library in a phone box and an adventurous walk down the " unmetalled road".
