  • "The house is thoughtfully arranged (excellent showers), very clean with spacious layout."

It is situated in a friendly village with nice neighbours who gave us tips on where to go locally. The small garden is secure and suitable for a dog. The south facing garden overlooks a farmer’s field for grazing sheep and ponies. The village has a public footpath through fields to the neighbouring parish, along a river which is very pretty (although some stiles involve effort and might might not be easy for all walkers & dogs). Approximately 2 miles along the road through the village is the Rough Tor which is a monumental Neolithic landscape (worth checking which side to walk up as accessible trails to the top may not be immediately obvious). Best beach for dogs is Daymer Bay. Best scenic & interesting coastal attraction is Boscastle. Best pub for food/beer garden is the St Kew Inn (next to a fascinating medieval church). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Thankyou for leaving your lovely feedback. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay at Kernyk & found some nice places to explore with your dog. Always a bonus when they enjoy their holiday too. We would welcome you back when you are ready for more exploring around North Cornwall. Property Owner

  • "Lovely property to stay in - plenty of space to relax and very well situated for our needs on our trip to North Cornwall."

Dangerously close to the best fish and chips in the UK (Peckish) and perfect for exploring our favourite places and catching up with friends. We’d definitely stay here again!

Thankyou for your lovely feedback. We are so pleased you have enjoyed your stay at Kernyk. We agree, Peckish is very dangerous we are often nipping down for a fish supper. We would love you to stay again when you feel Cornwall is calling. Safe journey home. Property Owner

  • "We had a lovely stay at Kernyk, first impressions were good, it is clean and tidy and ticked all of the boxes."

The property is modern and has been renovated in recent years, the location is quiet and the enclosed garden was perfect for our dog. The kitchen is very well equipped with everything we needed. The downstairs shower was really nice to use, better than we have at home ! The weather was very hot during our stay so we had the living room doors wide open, we could sit in the shade in front of the stone shed after 3.00pm. The garden table and chairs are good quality, a parasol would have been useful. It was a pleasure to see the ponies over the fence. A delighful stay.

Thank-you for your lovely review. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay at Kernyk, you did have some glorious weather. The ponies are very cute & a joy to see especially when the foals are there too. It is a very sunny garden. We hope to welcome you again if you fancy Cornwall for another holiday. Property Owner

  • "Lovely and clean and very well equipped with everything you need."

The enclosed garden was perfect for my dog. My only niggle was the upstairs shower the power button kept flashing and not working the only way to work it was to press the overide switch then it worked fine (maybe something needs resetting). Other than that cottage great location and very quiet would recommend to friends.

Thankyou Sharon for your kind review. We are pleased you had a relaxing holiday. Thank-you for letting us know about the shower issue, we will look into it. We hope to welcome you back if you ever fancy Cornwall again. Property Owner
