The lodge is situated on a 25 acre farm on the Somerset/Devon border, surrounded by the rolling Brendon hills and close to Exmoor National Park.
The beautiful West Somerset coast with Porlock, Dunster (with NT castle), Lynton & Lynmouth are a must to visit.
The local inn is just over 1 mile away and has an excellent reputation for good food.
We are approximately 5 miles from the small town of Wiveliscombe (Wivey), which is home to numerous shops and galleries, whilst the pubs stock ales from the town’s two renowned breweries.
There are various eating places including restaurant, cafe, inns and take-aways.
there is a recreation ground with tennis and an open-air swimming pool in the summer months.
Taunton, approximately 20 minutes away is a delightful town to visit with plenty of historic buildings to admire and some excellent independent shops, as well as a museum, theatre, cinemas, bowling and swimming poolAt Bishops Lydeard you can take the steam train to Minehead and in the other direction at Tiverton you can take a horse-drawn barge trip.
Wimbleball Lake (approximately 20 minutes away) has canoes for hire, cafe, nature paths, woodland play areas and much more.
Knighthayes Court (NT) and Cothay Manor are both about 15 minutes away.
