Pretty garden and good to have off road parking. Reviewed by MichelleOct 2020 "Was a nice cottage and had most things you needed." No sanitiser in the dispenser - whats the purpose of putting it in if nothing in? Good location for visiting lots of different places. Clean, comfortable and well equipped. Second visit here Reviewed by KatrinaSep 2019 "A very well equipped and clean cottage." We had everything we could need and all was in very good order. Reviewed by PatrickSep 2019 "The property was well equipped, very clean, well presented and in a rural location but it was not difficult to reach the main attractions and the coast at Torbay or Teignmouth." The nearby pub, Church House Inn at Stokeinteignhead, served us a delicious Sunday lunch. We were able to visit many local attractions, all easy to reach, including Bygones and Babbacombe Model Village, Torquay, Teignmouth, NT properties at Coleton Fishacre and Castle Drogo, South Devon Railway and very close Plant World Gardens. The property was so lovely we didn't want to leave. Just before we did leave the owners turned up to prepare the cottage so we were able to have a chat and tell them how much we loved the cottage and the places we visited. A thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable visit. We hope to return at a later date. Reviewed by TrevorSep 2019 "This was a superb little cottage which was actually more like a tardis as it seemed much bigger on the inside." Beautifully laid out with every bit of equipment you could possibly need. Plenty of instructions to guide you through the facilities. Spacious, clean and a lovely welcome pack. Would highly recommend it. Reviewed by JaneMay 2019 "Great cottage with all the facilities we could have wished for, a great base for exploring the area!" This was the 2nd time we had stayed at Stable end and again it met all expectations although it is now showing signs of needing a little bit of Upkeep Reviewed by JohnApr 2019 "Great cottage, clean and warm with excellent en suite shower/bathrooms." We did experience a fault on the boiler but the owner travelled some distance on a Sunday evening to try and sort it out. He was unable to rectify the fault, brought electric heaters with him and arranged for an engineer to visit the following morning. We went out for the day and when we returned the boiler had been repaired. First class service. Reviewed by CaroleOct 2018 "Lovely cottage very well furnished and equipped." This has been our first experience booking through Sykes, the whole process was dealt with in a friendly and professional manner. We will be sure to book through Sykes again. Reviewed by SamanthaAug 2018 "We have rented this cottage over a number of years (through a different company) so it totally met with our expectations." Reviewed by JoanneAug 2018 "We were not happy with the rather long list of things that our dog could not do, some of which we understand (no dogs on furniture) but others were ridiculous (Not allowed to wee in the garden) If this list had been shown at the time of booking we would not have booked to stay here." The owners need to be more transparent and show this list of ‘rules’ on their booking page. We won’t be returning. We had to pay £30 extra to take our dog then spent the whole week worrying about him doing something on the list. I would suggest they don’t advertise that pets are allowed. The pet bed they provided which was only to be used in the tiny barely ventilated utility room was unfortunately very dirty. The cottage itself was really lovely, clean and very well equipped, just not pet friendly and therefore should not be advertised as such.
