    “What a lovely holiday apartment!”

    I was a little unsure about booking this, going on past experience of similar shared properties, but it was pretty much perfect from the moment we parked at the rear of the house. The entrance and common areas were clean and well maintained. The apartment was large, clean, bright and airy... and warm! I claimed possession of the chair in front of the fantastic arched window and could have spent the week there just watching the sea and the comings and goings along the promede. So hard to leave ...

We will be back before the end of the year!

The property

This is a light and bright apartment, within a large Victorian house, overlooking the beach and seafront in the popular Somerset resort town of Minehead.

Located in a quiet street off the esplanade, just a short walk from the beach, the apartment provides a lovely sunny holiday home by the beach with sea views from most rooms.

Set all on the first floor, the open plan living area has doors to the balcony, where guests can sit and gaze out across the stunning view of the bay.

The two bedrooms are light and airy with the master king-size bedroom having a Victorian fireplace and large curved bay window with excellent sea views, plus the twin room has a door opening to a balcony.

Why not stroll along the seafront at Minehead or take a walk along the cliffs, where there are gorgeous views across the Bristol Channel.

Take a visit to the medieval village of Dunster where the castle dominates the skyline, or enjoy a steam train ride along the coast to the little harbour village of Watchet on the West Somerset Railway.

Head inland to the beautiful landscape of the Exmoor National Park with its abundance of deer, birds and gentle rivers bubbling through the valleys; where walkers of all abilities will find trails to discover the superb countryside.

This apartment is in a superb, quiet location with stunning sea views.

The popular seaside resort of Minehead occupies a wonderful sheltered spot beneath the dramatic North Hill, on the lovely West Somerset Coast. This welcoming town boasts a mile long esplanade, providing a wonderful backdrop to the golden beach, whilst the pretty harbour, visited in the summer by the famous paddle steamer Waverley, offers excellent fishing opportunities. Enjoy a nostalgic steam train journey from the seafront on the West Somerset Railway, or visit Blenheim Gardens, winner of many awards for its beautiful floral displays. Renowned for the largest herd of red deer in England, Exmoor National Park with its wooded valleys, pretty bridlepaths and heather clad moors, is well worth a visit, whilst the magnificent Norman Castle at nearby Dunster is a must.
