  • “Beautiful apartment with amazing views.”

Downstairs family room stayed lovely and cool and was dark enough to keep our 3 month old asleep in the morning! She had a great first holiday!

The property

Blue Bay is a delightful two-storey apartment, sitting on the coast of Exmoor in the charming town of Lynton.

A homely dwelling boasting extraordinary views of the sea, this spacious apartment is the ideal location for families or groups of five who seek a relaxing retreat by the seaside.

Enter into the building through the doorway next to the garage and either take the staircase up to the apartment on the 1st floor or use the lift.

Take a seat in the welcoming sitting room where you can turn on the TV and relax with some of your favourite shows, or watch as the beautiful waves from the sea crash into the impressive cliffs right from your window.

Venture into the fully-equipped country kitchen for a light lunch as your family gather at the dining table to map out plans for the days ahead.

Wander down the hallway into the king-size bedroom where you can lose yourself in a movie on the flat-screen TV.

Indulge in a deep soak in the bathtub located within the family bathroom, before taking a seat at your dressing table and spending some time pampering yourself for the evening.

Down a second staircase, you will find a family bedroom consisting of both a double bed and one single.

This spacious bedroom features striking alcoves and has been decorated to a high standard with attractive grey furnishings with deep blue accents to compliment the property's seaside location.

This family bedroom is serviced by a contemporary en-suite shower room with basin and WC.

When ready to explore the area, pull on your shoes and coat and head for the harbour to admire the colourful fishing boats as the bob in the water whilst tucking into a tasty portion of fish and chips.

Visit the Lyn and Exmoor Museum to learn about the oldest surviving dwelling in the town and what it was like to live in the area over 200 years ago, before a walk along the waterfalls of Glen Lyn Gorge.

Explore the Valley of the Rocks to meet the wild goats that roam freely on the clifftops or take a relaxing stroll along the South West Coast Path for outstanding scenery, sure to take your breath away.

For a family holiday like no other, stay at Blue Bay.

About the location

Ilfracombe 18 miles; Minehead 18 miles.

Lynton and its twin Lynmouth are nestled within Exmoor National Park on the North Devon coast. Lynton and Lynmouth enjoy one of the prettiest and most unspoilt coastal locations in England, offering breathtaking scenery and some of the best opportunities to admire the sheer rugged beauty of Exmoor’s coast and countryside. Great heritage, cosy fireside pubs, tasty local food and 'green’ credentials make North Devon an inspiring place to stay. There is a wealth of wildlife including magnificent red deer, the rare Exmoor pony, wild birds and rare butterflies. There are plenty of outdoor pursuits including horse riding, golf, walking, surfing and fly fishing on the beautiful Lyn river. Exmoor National Park is home to some of the darkest skies in the country so it's a great place to gaze at the stars. Lynton has a fabulous range of shops, pubs and cafes where you can wander between the picturesque cottages and meet the friendly locals. There are a number of attractions for the family including Exmoor Zoo, Lynmouth’s water-powered cliff railway, and the Owl and Hawk Centre.
